Right now the Riderever Triva are the cheapest hydraulic brakes for TT bikes, but the sram blip part is impossible to find, using it glued is a downside for me.

Does anyone know anything about the iiiPro ET7 brakes pictured at the Trace Velo video of Eurobike?

I’m currently working on a setup with Riderever Triva brake levers, and I was also looking for a technical and stylish way to integrate the blips. I just received this part (https://leapcomponents.com/product/sram-s900-grip-shifter/), which is normally only compatible with SRAM S900, but I’ll check if it works with the Riderever levers. If it does, it could be a great alternative!

Mission failed — the Leap part isn’t compatible with the Riderever Triva levers. It gets blocked at the blip insert. Too bad!

Hi, I'm looking at getting the VB-R-368 which looks to have the same seatpost as the TT-023. Can someone with this frame show what the adjustable seat clamp looks like? Wondering how much adjustment there is fore-aft.

He is talking about the saddle clamp considering he said fore-aft...

you can see in some of the pics on the page it can be shifted basically all the way forward and looks like most of the way back at least.

Hi,

This is my first post here on the forum. I have a Velobuild TT and also one of their road bikes.

Last year I built 2 TT bikes, mine and a friend’s, because we raced the 70.3 Emilia Romagna here in Italy.

My setup is basically stock, with some extra spacers to raise the front a bit more, built with Shimano Ultegra and a bit of 105. The wheels are from Officine Mattio, the Wave model, size 40 for the road bike and 60 for the TT. I work at the headquarters of this bike brand, so I end up buying the parts here since I get them for less.

My thoughts: if I had to build again today, I’d go with SRAM, since you only need to run the hydraulic hoses. The Shimano system is a nightmare, with lots of wires and 11V-to-12V converters.

Happy to help with any build questions if anyone needs.

I don't know why shimano hasn't figured out wireless blips and such.
Even Ltwoo's new TT group is fully wireless at the front end.

How did you get the extra spacers ? What is the final screw lenght after all ?

Yo yo yo, 3d printable rear bottle holder is finished! It replaces the one that comes with the frame, but elevates the bottle higher and mounts it horizontal. I suggest using a bottle mount adapter for fine tuning the fore/aft of the bottle, but it could be mounted directly. (Depending on the bottle cage, you might touch the bottle though)

It is compliant with the current ironman/world triathlon rules about the mount for the rear hydration having to fit in a 30x30cm box.

After our 70.3 in Emiglia Romana last year, me and my friend decided that we need a more relaxed position (because the default one was too low), so I asked Cris from velobuild and he sent me the set with more spacer and screews.

Stock one is fine if you just want to carry a bottle. That position is probably "aero neutral". However, recent studies from ezgains (I think it was them), showed that for behind the saddle bottles:
- elevating the bottle as high as possible
- putting it horizontal
- maybe adding a 2nd bottle

Can give you a positive aero effect, similar to a BTA bottle.

Have you ever tried or thought about installing a box on the top tube? (I saw the one you made for the lower part of the frame, and it looks really good!)

I’ve been wanting to buy a 3D printer for a long time so I could do some testing. One idea I had was to make a cut in the upper part of the top tube (it seems quite strong there — this frame is far from being a fragile “eggshell”) and install a compartment made of some flexible material, just to store a few gels inside. Somethinga like Tek.

Another thing I thought of, if I open up that space, would be to try to include a water bag that would go down through the downtube. But that would be much more complicated, and I think putting bottles on the aerobars ends up being easier.
