Did it come with two of the c-rings? Mine did and they were ever so slightly different sizes - when I changed to the other one the gap disappeared

hi Mine only came with one C-ring, not two. So I didn’t have another one to try, and the gap is still there,, there was a 0.9 mm gap between the headset and the spacers caused by the C-ring. I spent about 4 hours sanding it down, and now the gap is reduced to around 0.25 mm.

80 grit sandpaper

Easier, but from an engineering point of view, not a fan. It’s adding a point of failure, a component that will deteriorate over time and create potential headset play, keep filing away lol

Work in progress..... but unfortunately I encountered a problem with the headset cover of the Elita One SL8 handlebar: the diameter is correct, but once the fork leg is inserted the cover is moved forward and protrudes from the head tube, leaving the bearing uncovered!
The headset cover that comes with the frame instead seems to be fine.... How do you think the problem could be solved?
By any chance someone mounts the same handlebar and has experienced the same thing?

Another question: is the front derailleur support sufficient to screw it on or have you applied grease/threadlocker?
Can the central hole be left open or better put a cap?

I used a different thru axle that's slight longer and then offset the length with conical spacers so it sits flush.

I'd use mild loctite. My FD screws initially loosened up and was causing poor FD shifting. I periodically check it to make sure they're on tightly. I opted to use the mechanical FD hole as opposed to the hole behind FD plate because it was easier for me to route the battery cable with my ER9 groupset. You could always place some tape or a rubber grommet for moisture protection.

Can't help you on the handle bars since I went with a separate bar and stem. Are you planning to use that many spacers though? That seems a bit excessive. Did you get a frame too small for your reach/height?

Has anyone noticed any issues with the flex of this frame? I can bend the chainstays without much effort, causing the pads to touch the disc. Overall, the frame seems pretty flexible, probably the most flexible I've ever owned. I hope it doesn't affect the speed too much. This is probably not surprising given the weight and price of this frame. Perhaps it would have been better to order the new lightweight Long Teng frame; it has more massive chainstays and greater clearance for wider tires.

My build is complete (well, mostly – crankset is going to get swapped soon but waiting on shipping). Did a brief 25~ mile shake out ride today and my goodness this thing is fast. It accelerates very easily and feels very zippy, even though imho the geo is not that aggressive.

I wasn't really trying for a particularly weight weenie build but it clocks at 15.2lbs.

Time will tell but pretty happy with this so far and excited to ride it more!

Stiffest is not fastest. And if you don't get any disc or chain rub during acceleration after correct setup it's enough. I'm 78 kg and I can put over 1000 W for few sec. I think flex of this frame is nicely balanced. Stiff enough and really comfy. As it's not the stiffest it's definitely most comfortable frame I've ever owned.

Hello. What paint is the frame? Metallic or chameleon? I want to buy this frame on AliExpress. I'm choosing the frame color and want to see how it will look. It's a shame that people mostly buy unpainted frames.

I don't have much to complain about my R088. It's been riding solid since I built mine out in January. It's just a solid all-arounder. Though I have mine setup more as a climbing bike with shallow depth wheels. Not to mention I really prefer the 0° offset seat post!
