Received my 50mm wheels from serenade. Carbon spokes with titanium nipples and titanium grey hubs. Weight came at 1189g. Slapped some custom stickers provided by Serenade and installed on the bike. Going to Tenerife for 2 weeks on Thursday to test it out. They look impressive in person.

I got my 60mm 23is/34ow this week too. Titanium color hubs too. Really happy with the initial quality and looks. No photos or weights, I realized about it after I had tubeless sealant set.

Rim tape and included valves are good quality. Setup was a breeze, everything went smoothly but the rear rotor, there was no way of installing dura ace rt-cl900 rotor on the rear wheel, it rubbed the outer part of the rotor no matter how I place the caliper, front wheel is fine. I tried with  an used mt900(xtr) and several aliexpress rotors without this issue. It seems that new dura ace rotor doesn't interface properly with sr278c rear hub. Has anyone experienced something similar?


I m really looking forward for a proper test ride, compared to my dt erc1400 they feel nimbler.

Had the 50mm wavy wheelset come in this week with 25mm internal. 

Weight 580g for front wheel and 665g for rear bringing to a grand total of 1245g which is frankly astonishing for the price.

Went with Sapim CX in the end.

Waiting now on the frame to come in before I put them through their paces but want to vouch for the high level of customer service also. v impressed.

All center lock hubs are of the same specifications.

Installed the dura ace rotor on my DT swiss, will try it at some point, the rotor is new and from r2 bike, but it could be out of spec and not the serenade hub.

My front rim has this protuding bubble, is it ok?

Edit: used the dura ace rotor on the spare wheelset (dt erc 1400)that worked without issues before with all the rotors and same problem. Serenade rear cl disc hub has the exact same spacing as dt Swiss wheel, so it could be tolerances that stack up from shimano and/or winspace frame, serenade hub is not the culprit and it is not faulty.

kubackje , can you tell me more about your bike in the pics above ?

The bulge here is usually caused by a small amount of air entering, which is commonly encountered in carbon fiber molding. Since it’s very small and we haven’t addressed it, it has no impact on the strength of the rim.
