Tried my bike today. All good. 7.0kg with one side missing bartape. Could easily get to 6.8 with normal tires. These are the TLR RS 35mm at a disappointing 405g each. 35g more then advertised.

Very nice! But i need to ask, how did you manage to get a weight of just 7kg? I think the frame is quite heavy with 1100gr in size 52, which I ordered last week! But looking forward to it

960g in 47cm without storage (so not +50g for the hatch)
Force E1 group /RED 10-33 and RED 160mm crank
20g cut seatpost to get it low enough
40g cut steerer
1100g XMCS wheels
190g Look keo w/ titanium splines.
110 Ryet saddle

2x405g pirelli p-zero rs 35mm
2x36g tpu. Will go tubeless later

Jim has gotten the measurements of the loose seatpost and will check when Chinese New Year is over. I doubt that the outside of the seatpost is the most plausible fault. Inside of frame will vary more if there is too little resin I guess. The noise disappeared with a film of plastic from the sram groupset, but it’s not a good enough solution.

It appears that well-known Chinese frames such as the seka are like a noodle in terms of stiffness compared to, for example, Rose and probably also Canyon, etc.

Regarding the discussion of stiffness measurements: German Roadbike magazine just measured some Chinese bikes for the first time (Seka Spear, Tavelo Arrow, Winspace Milemaster M6) and added Rose Xlite for comparison. I added the values of the LCR018 as found in this thread.

Damm you totaly right, mine is a 54 with downtube storage the panel is metal so its on heavy side.

So, for me it is clear, I agree to NB87: different testing protocol, we don't really know what the LC values are telling us.

As if a magazine that mainly depends on advertizing and major brands sending them stuff for testing will run any unbiased tests on any direct-to-consumer Chinese parts. Let‘s not be naive…

And let‘s not forget that half of all comparative testing is won by Canyon bikes, all of which I‘ve had in my workshop are just utter crap.

Two things: While its plausible that an entity that depends on advertising could be biased towards its advertisers, that plausibility is not evidence that they are.

Secondly, whether they print fabricated data to the benefit of their advertisers or not, where is the logic that suggests that this would have any impact on the comparative data across brands that don't purchase advertising from them?

Hello everyone,

A question for the happy LCR018-D owners. I have seen in the LC website that the thruaxles remains "flushed" with the frame surface. Are the thruaxles a proprietary design of LC or it is possible to use a standard thruaxle in the frame?

I looked everywhere for replacement axels, but could not find any the same. They have a different thread pitch from front to rear which, I thought, was odd. Anyway, the axels provided seem good quality and lightweight so I am happy not to keep them.

 It's true that is not a part that need replacement, but... what happens if you destroy or lost it? Need to ask LC for a replacement... I think that it will be better it the axles where a standard part.

Imo you should pick the size 54, im 174cm but i picked the size 50 and there still lot of room for the seat post adjustment to raise.

What is your inseam where you selected the size 50?   Also did you select any seatpost offset and what length stem did you choose?
I'm pulling the trigger on the size 50 as well with 170.2 cm height and inseam of 76 cm.  I'm concerned however the stack won't be high enough relative to the size 52, but the standover on the 52 is a bit tight.

It's stated that the numbers from that magazine come from a measurement. So what you're suggesting as "human common sense" is that we can basically conclude that they're manipulating the numbers to have their sponsored brands come out on top.

Quite a statement.

It's a bit like the people concluding that Pogi is doing epo because he's faster.

I agree with jstrawks. Just because it's plausible, doesn't mean it's true.

Finally took the bike off the Zwift trainer for the first outdoor ride of the season! The bike feels great, especially with the 35mm Michelin Pro 5 tires—super comfortable. I think it weighs around 7.6 Kg

I have to say, the clamping system on this zero-offset post isn't designed very well. It’s almost impossible to get a 4mm Allen key properly into the bolt. Even with an extension on my torque wrench and a piece of cardboard to protect the seatpost, the bolt head strips easily. That’s exactly what happened on one side. So, now I’m looking for a replacement black hex bolt. Does anyone have a tip for one that fits?

Agree with the seatport clamp bolts, glad my allen keys have torque ball end  for the inicial torque.

I received my frame today and I'm wondering about the spacer that is included.
As you can probably understand from this question, I'm not a professional bike mechanic  ;D

Anyone can tell where this spacer should be placed?
