Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road)

Someone has posted a transparent green frame in the 160 pages this thread now has, so its possible

I have been through all 160+ pages and either missed it or didn’t see it. I did see a couple of lovely green bikes, but no transparent green. There isn’t a “search within thread” option I am missing is there (that would be handy).

I can take some better pics later today. The fork is not too long, there is space between the cap and the compression plug. It’s also not upside down as the underside of the cap is unfinished and the top has a bevel for the screw to go into.

My question in not specifically related to Lightcarbon but my LCR018-D with UD black matt finish developed one shiny spot compare to rest of frame surfaces I have no idea why, but it is kinda bugging me.

Do you guys know anything how to get it back to matt with the rest of the frame?

This black matt paint is kind of pain in the ass, this was the only mistake I have made with my bike otherwise absolutely love it.

Also what do you guys think is better paint option for "livability" with frame, easy to clean, durable? I kind of starting to like look of glossy raw black, but I have no idea how it is to take care of.

I went with glossy raw carbon for ease of maintenance

I am also done - nothing special (black glossy, 58). The built was really easy, but omg this seatpost....this is not easy to torque the bolts for the saddle. I already feedbacked this to LightCarbon, i hope they will change the design somehow.

I will give you an update after I've really tested it.

Of course.

Like I said, the seatpost was a topic on its own, but i managed it - bit more torque solved the seatpost slip and bit more torque solved the seat slipping from the rails. I did short tours with good power output and I did long tours with 8 hours riding time. It is a very comfortable bike (for me) and I like it a lot.
I am about 190cm (on a good day) with about 90cm innerseam length - fits very good with a 40x100mm  handlebar. Not very racey, which works fine for me.

Would I buy it again? Yes, but for my next bike I will opt for a normal round seatpost and no flush trough axles - I do like to change things over time, this is not straightgoing with the special measurements.

The colouration (raw glossy carbon) is so cool, I would chose that everytime!

I'm not able to answer that, since  I'm building the bike right now.

Did they mention what the stock cost is with no customization? Before shipping I paid $769 ($649+$120) for one colour and they gave me the generic black stickers for free. Now at $949 that is a 40% jump. Not just lightcarbon but I never understood why a company is going to charge me to put their sticker on my frame (or wheels). It is free advertising for the company yet I need to pay to do that?

they charge a flat 250$ for the paint job some time now. i thought it was for more complex schemes. but per your post, this seems to be a general fee now. i spoke to wendy by email and she said they are buzzing with orders. guess its extremly labour intense/costly, to do this many custom jobs.

I ordered another frame in May and i was charged those 250$ for a 3 color paint job plus custom decals. still a bargain i think, for this level of quality.

Very fair, I just updated mine to add I did order in October 2025. With the demand, I am not surprised they increased the base price but the paint is a big jump. Either way, still a good deal for sure!
