Still on the fence about what IW wheels to get! I've bought 35mm GP5000's but currently have 23mm IW 29mm OW .. So tempted to go to the 26/31.5 OW/IW that LC sell but just worried I may go below 35mm tyre and then struggle to seat a smaller tyre. Going tubeless if that helps anyone push me one way or another..

Go for the 26mm IW, you can easily go down to a 30C if you need to. Some people go even lower

I personally run the 28mm GP5000 and 29mm Aero111 on my XMCS with 26 int/33 ext and happy with that.

Unless you have a specific use case (like being super light), 23mm rims are pretty outdated. between the 2, the 26 should be the default, and the 23 only considered for edge cases, at this point. I'm assuming you're a somewhat average western bloke and all.

I'm still waiting on my frame but have ordered XMCS 50mm 26mm wheelset and GP 5000 35c tyres - I just assumed the frame would take it, now I'm wondering if that was a bit optimistic.

confused.  you already have a 23mm IW wheelset (that work better with narrower tires) so why would you get a 2nd set?  for sure if you plan to run 35mm GP5Ks, the 26mm IW will match up better.

I have them ordered, not in hand, but I checked with Jim and he was happy for me to swap to the larger IW for $20 so I'll do that, thanks all.

Best 20$ ever spent. It's crazy that when talking to an OEM, it's a 20$ difference, but if you look at Western brands, that's a 3y product release.

Any suggestions on electric pumps that will fit in internal storage?

I read in an earlier comment that the Cycplus AS2 Ultra fits (65x47.5x28mm). My Topump TB2 pro doesn't fit (77×53×32mm). Wondering if Cyclami AM6 Pro will fit because it's ~1/3 of the price of the AS2 Ultra.

Any other suggestions under $100 CAD range?

Best 20$ ever spent. It's crazy that when talking to an OEM, it's a 20$ difference, but if you look at Western brands, that's a 3y product release.

C53DB Rims (26mm width) 45mm height, CX Ray, brass nipples.
105 Di2 with 165mm cranks
GP5000 35mm AS TR

Just a suggestion regarding the wheels: given the large frame size, I’d opt for a 50mm profile....it looks much better, and there would be no difference in terms of wind sensitivity. 

Did you already have a color scheme in mind?

Hi there, i am building my bike today and tomorrow.
Its the firtst bike i build and I have some questions.
The rear brake hose is routed above the bottom bracket? Or do you push it below the bottom bracket?

I cant find information in any video about that.

My AS2 ultra is in the small plastic bag they provide, but isnt in the silicone sleeve. I’d Imagine the AM6 would be fine if you remove the silicone sleeve, probably ok with it too but it also depends how many hoses/cables you have running down the down tube and if you’ve used any foam anti rattle sleeve.

I only have a brake hose which I taped to the frame to prevent rattles, but also give me the maximum amount of room possible for an electronic pump.

Oh and swapping the two bottle cage bolts for shorter 10-12mm ones gives some extra hight behind the door for a pump too.

For the LCR018 i went above. using BB cup & jagwire housing damper.

LC also recommends so, per their website.
