Would love to see some more detailed riding impressions snd comparisons to other builds.

A few pages ago, there was a report of a storage compartment lid coming loose. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I'm trying to decide whether to order the frame with or without the compartment.

Can someone please help me out with the geometry?

My current bike has these measurments:

Seat tube lenght: 580MM
Seatpost lenght: 190MM
total lenght top of saddle to middlepoint BB: 810MM
BB to saddle rai: 770MM

Looking at the geometry, i find it impossible to make the saddle to bb distance long enough for me.

Also did a bikefit couple of months ago, can't figure out if the size 58 frame is good for me.

If someone can please help me out, would be much apreciated

1. Go to https://www.bikegeocalc.com
2. Input your current bike geometry + your bike fit measurements + components
3. Input LCR018 geometry
4. Compare and find the differences

Hard to help with so little information. Seat tube and head tube angles play a big role.

Unless you’re going to race it, the UCI Certification means absolutely nothing.

Many people wrongly assume it’s a sign of quality assurance or sone sort of stress test procedure.

Agreed.

I want nothing to do with UCI rules - none of them apply to safety save for perhaps the rule that bikes can't weigh less than a certain weight.

Hey Biggiebaksteen,

Yeah the seat-tube lengths are very short on the LCR018 in the larger sizes.  You probably should start by emailing LightCarbon and determine if 200mm is the true maximum stick-out of the seat post, or if they have a longer post available in the proper aero profile.  It seems odd to me that they wouldn't have a solution for tall riders - but direct contact with them is the only way to be sure.

You noted that you had a fitting recently.  With the answer from LC, I'd imagine that they'd review the specs and tell you if it fits and what size cranks/stem/handlebar/seatpost setback would be best for you.

Good luck!

"The length of seatpost is 400mm,The minimum insertion depth is 100mm, and we recommend a depth of 120mm or more." Was Jims answer in my requests of size ,52. So there is a longer Version. But ask in your own to make everything Sure

thanks for the link, that helps!

On my current bike the seat tube is 580MM and headtube is 510MM. This bike is a little to small for me at the moment. Thats why im affraid the LCR108 will also be to small. Thanks for helping out.

Hi !

yeah i just asked what the seatpost lenght is. They say online it has a minimum insert lenght of 200m. The seatpost in find online is 400MM wich makes for 200MM of space to use.

I asked LC what they think about my fit and they recommended a size 56 wich is even smaller. I looked at the numbers and figured out that this was to small. I asked again that i have a difficult time figuering out if the size 58 is big enough. The only reply i get is that it is my own risk for choosing a frame size, so its not really helping out.

I saw some people who are even taller than me (190cm) that have purchased this bike. Thats why im looking for advice here!

Thanks for your response.

(sorry english isnt my first language so my grammar might be wrong)

Does the insertion depth change when you go for a bigger frame size, i think so right?

Can someone who has already received their LCR018-D frameset tell me about the thru-axels? Any good? I've already got my farme on order and was wondering if the thu-axels were okay or worth upgrading. What are the exact dimensions as I'm guessing with the front forks having a 'blind' thread the exact length is critical.

Funny question, I just asked the axle specs from LC as I am in the process of placing my order.

Many thanks for that. Lengths are 121mm and 173mm  :).  I don't suppose they showed you the head stlye? Is it a hex key or the type with a built in lever?

Sorry, I did not ask that question. From others pictures I saw of peoples build, it looked like hex key.

They are a hex key fit (6mm I think from memory).
Im in the process of building mine up now, the thru-axles look good and seem pretty light (I can weigh them this evening if it helps).
Always curious to hear if there are "better" alternatives whatever that may be - from weight, to colour options and tightening options.
This is my first disc build - ive always carried a Daysaver Essential 8 as my main tool - I dont think this would cut it in terms of force required to reinstall the wheel so will be looking into whatever lightweight 6mm tool options would be available to add to my collection - any thoughts or recommendations welcome!
