Honestly I did not expect the frame will look the same. The template (Tarmac) is from a UK based company, famous for expensive custom paint jobs. So I do not even have Color codes just pictures. Overall it was just an „inspiration“, stating „in your face“. I like fancy colors.

Price was 2400 USD including handlebar but I will get a partial refund because there is currently a 10% off campaign

Yeah. I do not expect any great resale value so I don’t mind about the paint job. Life is too short to ride a boring bike w/o color.

Only CFD optimisation for the frame. The alternative was a Scott Foil but I did not like the paint jobs also only Pressfit BB, 700x30 clearance and no UDH.

GC Performance review of the Quick was very good.

Short note: got a 200 USD refund after asking for the 10% campaign

Just got mine built up (size small). Some things about me:

• I am 171cm / 172cm on a good day.
• The bike I came from was a 49 Allez Sprint. It was one size too small to make it work; I had the saddle all the way back on the rails and used a 130mm stem.
• The Allez was a great bike, very twitchy and quick handling, great for getting your balls kicked in racing masters crits here in SoCal.

Some quick(pro) thoughts about the bike after doing a 1-hour Z2 ride, on a particularly windy day:

• The handling is much more stable in the crosswind.
• No toe overlap.
• Steering is more predictable. I can lean into corners and not have to worry about making micro-adjustments from over-steering.
• Ride quality was very smooth. I don't think this can be accounted for by tire pressure, but here's what I'm riding for context:
• • I'm pretty light (63 kg) so I run my tire pressure @ ~50 PSI on 30mm GP5000s.
• • This is the exact setup swapped from my previous bike.

I wasn't able to give it some beans on a sprint, but on the few overpasses that I had to ride up, it was very responsive. This weekend i'll be doing a longer ride with actual climbing, so I'll have more to report as I take it up some mountains and down some descents.

The winningest and most celebrated GC world tour riders aren't exactly giants. That said, aero frames in smaller sizes always turn me off visually. Of course you can't control this. And for all we know you can/will probably drop me on any sustained climb. Flats too 

Perhaps it's the proportions in relation to the wheels. Or the cockpit. Who knows...

Congrats on the build! Happy to hear the ride quality is very smooth. Currently my Scott Foil RC Pro has set a new gold standard for how I want/expect aero frames to perform dynamically. But I'm hoping the ER:One can come very close without the $5500 pricet ag.

The Tavelo Arow rides similar to the Giant Propel.
The TanTan X68 rides (kind of) like a Tarmac SL8.
Maybe the ER:One will follow suit.

Thanks for responding! I watch your channel and really enjoy your content covering the eastern brands.

Unfortunately, I'm what they call a "manlet," so I don't get those cool-looking bike proportions. One thing that is different about this bike is the relatively high amount of stack compared to other bikes in this size.

I also refuse to get integrated bars. I don't see the point of spending hundreds of dollars for a couple of watts and a huge service headache. That being said, I still have some flexibility to play with the fit and can mess around with different stem angles to fine-tune my position.

I used to be a bike shop rat and I'm just getting back into riding/racing after a +10-year break. My all-time favorite bike was the Tarmac, but I'm really hoping this ER:One will surprise me and get me excited to ride even more. I'm not as fast as I used to be, that's pretty obvious in my race results this year, so there's a good chance you'd beat me up on climbs and drop me on the flats. I'm just chasing the dragon of my youth.
