Component build plan thoughts

Hey everyone,

I hope this is the right place to ask for some advice.

I’m putting together a completely new bike build and would really appreciate your thoughts on my current part list. I haven’t chosen the frame yet, but since there are good deals on AliExpress at the moment, I’d like to take advantage of them.

Here’s what I’ve selected so far. If you have recommendations for saving weight or improving reliability, I’d be happy to hear them:

I’m unsure here. The Shimano Ultegra 2x crank is 140 EUR / ~700 g, but I’d love suggestions for something lighter without losing stiffness or reliability.

If anyone has experience with any of these frames or wheelsets, or has suggestions for a good lightweight crankset and cassette choice, I would really appreciate your input.

I would get the CL900 rotors even when they are a tiny bit heavier they're a much better construction.

Definitely skip the Shimano cranks if budget allows they're not even that reliable. Get one of the Elilee / Cybrei clones it's a huge weight saving.

If you want to save money while getting them consider buying them with for example Sigeyi axo power meter spider if you're not locked on the power meter pedals. You can probably get the cranks + powermeter for the same price as the pedals alone or even cheaper.

Stick to Shimano cassette if you care about shifting quality, I just bought a new 9200 Dura-ace cassette for 139€ from ebay.

Depeding if the capacity is enough for you get Dura-ace cage for the derailleur you can find them cheap on ebay. Weight saving is over half compared to full Dura-Ace derailleur for not a lot of money.

What do you mean exactly by Elilee / Cybrei clones?
Actual Elilee / Cybrei cranks or are there clones of these cranks?

Yes there are many similar cranksets like Elilee and Cybrei that are cheaper and marginally more heavy. For example Bigrock crankset. The originals are a safe bet though if budget allows.

But you have to calculate that the capacity is enough as it's shorter than ultegra.
