LightCarbon Frames and Wheels
« on: November 29, 2025, 12:22:19 PM »
Hi, Guys new to this forum , I have jumped bandwagon and going finally to disc brake, just to cut the  story short I have been riding and doing  gran fundo racing for over 30 years, and I started building my own bikes 5 years ago and after some research at looking some of these brands ''From China'' and turns out to much cheaper to buy directly from the manufacturer than western brands. I recently upgraded to Sram AXS  Force Groupset  and I going to move all my parts to the new frame except for the shifters as as going to need to replace with the disc brake system version.

I looked at quite few of them, these china brands  below I have looked into.

Winspace(most expensive)
Ican
LightCarbon
Winosports.
TanTan

So after my enquiry with Lightcarbon I was quoted  the following

 LCR017-D Frame /Painted/seatpost/HBR17 integrated bars/ Forks/headset/ T47BB/ Stem Spacers/  Ceramic bearings C67DB hubs, 36T Ratchet 50MM Carbon wheels/Carbon spokes.
I also have the option to have DT SWISS  180/240/350 Hubs / aware they would go up in price with these options. Also have the options to have their Cema BB bearings

And shipping to Portugal with all duties paid and VAT.  £1105 ($1494 )

So looks like I am going down this route for my bike disc build I find that really hard to beat!

I would be grateful for your feedback if anyone on here has purchased their frames or wheels and what was the lead time for delivery was and how well your purchases were received .

Thanks Jon

Welcome to the forum. There's actually a 76 page dedicated thread here regarding LCR017-D. You can find a lot of reviews there, from issues to ride reports. You may use the search function at the upper right of this website.

Enjoy your stay!

Hello & Welcome ;)

There is plenty of info about LC right below your posting. You can do better :)

In German we have this saying: Since when does the bone come to the dog?

If there is anything you can’t find in the respective threads, ask for it and people will help you.
