Mondince FM376 - 57mm tire clearance

Hi All,

My frame ( after many delays and sorry’s from jack ) is on its way. However, I have never built a bike before and are struggeling how to make sure my cockpit wil allign nicely with the frame. Could any of you advice on how to fit winspace hyper bars perfectly to this frame ( i.e which headset etc i should buy)? Winspace does offer multipe headsets/ spacer options for different models of bike for their frame but of course not Mondince. Would love any tips/help so I can build up the bike perfectly the moment i get it

Winspace bars use the fsa system of spacers. I think the normal fsa Headset should work perfectly as that is the Standard mondice uses on their frames.

Yes a standard round fsa top cover should fit. Only thing that changes is how high the compression ring sits compared to the frame. It's good to have a few spacers that fit between the compression ring and top cover so you can get the play out.

Sometimes it also can be too tall I had to change to another compression ring on my Yoeleo as there was too large gap between the frame and the top cover that came with Tavelo Rise bars.

Straight forward build. Handlebar is just a placeholder waiting for the final one to get back in stock.
Size L (I am 181, usually ride 56 frames).
Heavier than my previous Carbonda 696 but doubt I will notice it riding.
Hope to get a shake down right in later today.

Quick update; turns out the instructions that Jack gave me were wrong. The video he sent said the bearing with the red seal was installed at the top of the frame, and black seal was installed at the bottom.

After informing him that this didn't work, he's sent me a new instruction video the has the red seal at the bottom and black seal at the top...go figure.

Should have time to rebuild it on Friday and will provide another update.

It is pretty simple starting from the bottom:

- red ring bearing just shy of 8 mm in thickness goes in the lower headset cup of the frame.

- the metal compression ring (with a slit in i it) goes into the upper bearing cup of the frame
- upper bearing next
- followed by thin shim with a small protrusion (with the protrusion upwards)
- next is another shim with a split section and three protrusions, two on one side and one on the other
this is placed on top of previous shim with the protrusion of the previous one sitting in the split section of the next shim.
Finally upper headset part with the holes for the cables. This has again matching cutouts so that the three protrusions from the previous shim can align into the cutouts.

The rubber plugs included are to blank of any holes not needed depending on your setup. For example I run Sram AxS so only need to run the front and rear brake hoses, the other two holes are plugged.

Your build looks very good. Does a frame bag still fit together with two mounted frame bottles (frame size L)?

Is this UD raw glossy color?

Thanks! But what do you mean with Normal? i already have another Winspace (M6) and would love to have the same perfect aero look/ transition between frame and spacers. I dont think a round headset would be sufficient therefore. Likewise at winspace you need to select a brand of bike, just Winspace for the FSA standard thus?

Almost have all components already, just cannot decide on tire and pedal. If any of you have recommendaiton for french gravel winter tires let me know !
