You can't really tell anything from that photo. Did you try to make a video showing the hollow(?) portion flexing or anything?

Weirdly enough, just returning stuff is often way easier than getting a fault acknowledged.

Only rode it once this Saturday and it was pretty comfy. Although my ass froze a bit since the cutout is so huge lol.

Any suggestion for a wide (150-155mm) carbon saddle that isn't stiff like a plank?
I had to return the Ryet Aircode 3D honeycomb because the carbon base didn't flex at all, and with my 80+ kg I compressed the 3D mesh completely so it was way too hard.
Also riding a 155mm Specialized Power Arc clone from KOCEVLO, and the carbon base is much more forgiving, but would like a longer model...

This is perhaps an odd question but has anyone found excessive wear on their bib shorts caused by a 3D printed saddle? I'm kind of interested in trying one out but not too keen on doing it at the expense of my bib shorts.

I’ve ridden two 3D printed saddles (Ryet Aircode and other Ryet one) for the last 2 years and this hasn’t been a case for me. But some forum users can confirm it does eat their bibs quite a bit.

IMO the only time there is ware on the bibs, is when people dont sit properly on their saddles (read saddle too high) and they rock from side to side. Not only is this not comfortable (and the search for saddles continues) but it also causes "shaving" effect on the bibs material.

I have used 3d saddles for the last 30K km or so. Never an issue.

I had bib wear on my ryet aircode (the pro stealth version). It's definately a combination of the open cell 3d print at the edges and the wide nose design and nothing to do with saddle height as someone mentioned. I placed gorilla tape at the edges and the rubbing was gone.

Everybody is different, my friends use the same saddle and have no bib wear. I purchased the sworks mirror copy from ryet and it's been perfect, the nose is narrower and tapers in more aggressively than the pro stealth copy.

Can confirm that the original Aircode has a SUPER wide nose that led to some rubbing on my thighs. I was worried about ruining my bibs, but after a few hundred miles I never saw anything that bad. I switched from an Aircode to a different Ryet saddle with a 3d printed top (no wide nose) and I see zero rubbing and zero bib wear after thousands of miles.

I've been riding on the RT04 for 6 months or so now - probably the best saddle I've ever had. Comfy, but don't slide around at all.

Are you still using this saddle? How would you describe the saddle padding? Is it soft or stiff, thick enough? I have a saddle with a 3D padding, not exactly the same, but also with a honeycomb structure, and it's too soft and thin, even in the sitbone area. I can easily push it to the base.

I bought this Ryet Ultimate https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005006948413398.html saddle in March of this year, it's been 9 months of intense use with a crash in the middle, the carbon has only cracked but it still works perfectly after more than 7000km super comfortable and highly recommended

Ive used this one for over 15k km. Has worked great. Have two of them, both weighing in at 160g in the 3d print version. I am now experimenting with other Ryet models just to see if i might get on a tiiiiny bit better with a saddle with less curve in the back. But i really really need a saddle that is relatively narrow (<145mm) and yet has a nose of at least 40mm (the one you linked measures in at 41mm).

I just ordered a ryet that seems to be a Berk Ploh 143 clone that is a little longer than the one you linked but has a 45mm nose.

 I had ordered the version with the hybrid raw carbon and 3d print but it cracked on first use, unfortunately. See attached photos for model and damage. I'm hoping the normal non hybrid version doesnt have the same structural flaw as i liked the shape even more than the ryet power saddle

During these latest sales I picked up a Mixed 5D carbon saddle for less than $25. I have to say, I'm quite impressed with it. It fits me a little more comfortably than the last Ryet I picked up (which was a big reason I bought it, because I was a little disappointed in that Ryet). I guess I now have an entire fleet of chinese carbon saddles. If I had to rank them for my personal comfort, this is my ranking:

#1 - Ryet X6P (carbon / 3d printed top) [note: I love this saddle. It fits me perfectly and I feel almost no discomfort even after finishing a century]
#2 - Mixed 5D (carbon / eva top)
#3 - Ryet (idk Superflow?, maybe) (carbon / eva top)
#4 - Ryet Aircode (carbon / 3d printed top)

I should point out, I've ridden century rides in every single one of those saddles (except the Mixed 5D, since I just rode with it for the first time this weekend). My oldest, the original Ryet Aircode, is the funniest one to me, because I find it rather uncomfortable for short rides. After 10-20miles my butt is a little sore and I would wonder why I hadn't removed it from my bike yet. Then, after 20mi, it just stopped bothering me. Every. Single. Time. I've never experienced anything like that. Of course, I did eventually remove it, because those other ones start out more comfortable and stay more comfortable.
