Re: Suspension Seatposts - anyone actually have experience with the varieties on Ali
As someone who's (afaik) the highest customer tier on Aliexpress, based in europe, i've just returned almost 10 items, about half of what i bought. Super easy process, and free. Very different from how it was years ago. So, I'd say, don't shy away from ordering something, as soon as you receive it, test the hell out of it because you have only about 15 days to complain efficiently, and voila. Edit: return terms vary per country. Returns in France & Germany are very easy. In Romania, they're de facto impossible. In Romania, Temu has great return terms though. July 11, 2024, 01:54:45 AM |

Re: Please start using Mywhoosh?
It's pretty awesome, I agree. The only annoying bit is that during structured workout, you don't get detailed info on what the next interval is. Only the color indicates whether it's hard or not. I wish I could see the whole workout structure and info like in Zwift. If you look at the track record of the CIA when it comes to death abroad, misery, misunderstanding local dynamics, war, mayhem and so on, since Allen Dulles, or more recently, with the current US endorsed genocide and US endorsed war (it's not me saying it, but the UN), playing the morality card is really arguably a joke. Paying for zwift because it employs American incompetent hipsters, to support America, that is legit. But saying UAE is bad and the US is virtuous is cognitively dissonant to such an extent that I had to point it out. And to be clear, yes, UAE is bad. But show me one nation that isn't. Like Jesus would say, who hasn't sinned throw the first stone lalala. November 26, 2024, 02:06:00 AM |

Hambini is EXACTLY the type of person I would expect to make something like that up.

Re: Spcycle New Mold G068 Carbon Gravel Frame
yeah I cut the steerer tube down to where it sits just inside the top of the stem with the compression plug. I'll see how my ride goes today, I cranked down the top cap. I think maybe I need a shim so the plastic of the bottom dust cover doesn't rub on the frame. Check that the convex bottom of your top cap isn't bottoming out on the compression plug. If they make contact, it will feel like the top cap has tightened down, but it's not applying all of the clamping force to the stack. I made this mistake on another frame, cutting the steerer tube about 1 or 2 mm lower than the stem, and it still was not enough to fully cinch down the stem and spacers -- the gap between the fork and the lower headset bearing is just a tiny bit more than my other bikes, and I worry about dirt getting in there. Re: new bike shop for chinese product
Very interesting Paul. Interesting coincidence that this "new website" you just "came across" and "bought from" happens to be registered just miles from your first failed business venture, and happens to sell many of the same products or some you've shown interest about, with the notable exception of elves who likely stopped trusting you after you publicly lied about their stock and spoke in their name? https://ised-isde.canada.ca/cbr-rec/en/search/results?search=%7BUnderdogs%20cycling%7D https://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,5163.msg64076.html#msg64076 You didn't even have the decency to try to hide it by at least making a new account? Do you really think our memory is that short? May 04, 2025, 02:33:26 AM |

Re: Spcycle R065 700C Full Carbon AERO Road Disc Brake Frameset
Did I put the pieces together the right way? Is something missing?Check to make sure the compression plug is not being raised out of the steerer tube while you are trying to adjust the headset....i was successful when i pressed down on the back of the stem, just around the top cap with some body weight, while at the same time tightening the headset... Re: Spcycle New Mold G068 Carbon Gravel Frame
Thank You Tufo Thundero HD in 48mm on wheels from XMCarbonSpeed that are 26mm internally. Very happy with the tyres after 1200km or so, no punctures, great grip and seemingly fast rolling. May 10, 2025, 04:35:21 PM |

Re: 1 x 12 Sram TT Setup
Hi everyone, Since someone was referring to a VeloBuild VB-TT-023 here, here's my build. It is a weapon. Very fast and very sexy looking. The only thing was that the original cockpit wasn't working well for me. Too low, too close to my body and too narrow. So I customized the cockpit quite a bit: #1: I cut a custom aero bar base plate from a 4 mm thick carbon sheet in order to bring the underarm rest pads more outward and further forward than the original base plate would allow. #2: This also allowed me to add a QuadLock mount for my phone, so that I have my data right between my arms. #3: I 3D-printed two one-piece 12 cm tall spacers. In order to give them more stability, I replaced the long M5 bolts with thicker, extra-long M6 bolts, which meant I had to drill the holes in the handlebars a tiny bit wider. #4: I also 3D-printed a little box that is attached underneath the aero bar base plate and which can slide in two energy gels while I’m riding. #5: I ended up not attaching the water bottle to the seat post. I attached it to the down tube. Looked better and way easier to grab the bottle while riding. Photos (incl. Adobe Illustrator drawing of the custom carbon aero bar base plate I built): https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mE7LtKe21CTyAYtPoBpYAIpCF4da8K-i?usp=sharing Feedback appreciated! Have a good one! Martin May 14, 2025, 02:36:37 PM |

Drop handlebars for kids?
Hi everyone, I'm currently looking for Handlebars for my little one. Her bigger sister is riding a 32cm HUP Compact handlebar - due to brexit they are a bit hard to come by in mainland europe (and since the company isn't really good communications wise). Therefore I'm hoping to find something in china - not too easy as it seems... Details of the HUP Handlebar: 320 mm centre-centre (also available in 340, 360, 380) 65mm reach 100mm drop clamp 31.8mm Doesn't matter too much if it's alloy or carbon... lightweight would be nice (we are talking about 25kg rider weight)... and really really slim is the main focus...
