6 N.m is too much even if it is written in the manual. Just screw until the play disappear.

Use plenty of carbon paste around the expander plug to help create more friction. Then tighten to 10nm. Then tighten the topcap until there's no play. No torque meter needed with that last step

Just a couple of data points. I've never used carbon paste on an expander plug. I've never needed to. Also, "until there's no play" is correct, but "no play" needs to be addressed in an assertive manner. Make sure it's really no play when you lock the front brake and rock the bike and forth with enough weight on the bars so that the front wheel doesn't easily slide, and really make sure that there is really no play in headset in that scenario.

I'd also mechanically check the expander plug & grease it if necessary

Re: Lightcarbon: LCR018-D (endurance all-road) 6nm for a bearing cap is idiotic. It doesn’t need to be anywhere near that tight.

As mentioned above. So long as there is no play when the front brake is applied, it’s tight enough. Anymore than that just prematurely kills the bearings.

Re: chinese carbon saddles I have the goldix version and it's hard under sitbones, which ryet 3d, the pro stealth copy? That was also fairly hard, but in long usage it never caused any excessive pressure, I just needed to lift my butt and could continue on.

It's correct that the Selle SMP saddles are hard as well but if the shape fits that is ok. Would you say that the Goldix shape/ fit is comparable to the SMP?

I was asking about the hardness because I do have another 3D printed one from LightCarbon, the SD01 which is very soft. Maybe too much so I found in the beginning as it was fine on the sitbones but it caused my butt/ leg to go to sleep after 1 hour. Over time with finetuning the angle it has grown on me and now feels very comfortable even on long rides without causing numbness.
Unfortunately LightCarbon charges $75 for shipping a saddle to EU, the same as for a full frameset. Hence my continuing quest....

I would say that Goldix shape is quite good. I like evo's shape most  and  second docici ( https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005008391335012.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.510.7d0d18023RaRLn ). Third would be goldix and fourth Selle Smp dynamic (i dont like its shape. It is too round? for me)
