Re: Velobuild VB-R-368 Aeroframe The more I look at it, the more it reminds me of a beefier version of the TanTan X38 Scott Foil clone.

I'm hoping to find a way of using my own stem and handlebar.

Re: XMCS: 2026 Aero and Allround road frames
Tbc: 32mm, maybe a bit more. Peter, feel free to jump in here too with more tech details.

35mm clearance for both frames confirmed.

Re: XMCS: 2026 Aero and Allround road frames It seems my little private aero test project is obsolete already…

Apparently Peter is already in conversation for real wind tunnel testing of the new frames this year.

Re: XMCS: 2026 Aero and Allround road frames
I do wonder if Peter will use a full blown wind tunnel facility like Silverstone UK or the one down in Sydney Australia with the Nero Show dudes. Or just one of those janky portable wind testing machines like Winspace uses  ;D
Haha. Silverstone wind tunnel testing it would be. We should be able to do this in April.

Re: XMCS: 2026 Aero and Allround road frames Sea Otter is not for introverts…

An interesting pattern I seen with the majority of Far East brands on display here is their efforts to be as inoffensive as possible. They don’t really initiate conversation and simply let the products speak for themselves. Even with eye contact. I know this is just cultural.

As an American who understands the dynamic needed in being approachable and speaking up, I’m happy to have done my small part in Peter’s booth to intrigued media folks and patrons. Sea Otter thrives on A-type personalities. It’s not just selling products. It’s really about offering an experience.

Re: Spect Strada Please can you guys chatting with Spect ask them if 32mm tires really is the limit? Both frames?

Re: Spect Strada Super thrilled the MIRA has a 73° STA. I won’t have to jam my saddle all the way backwards  8)

Would love to see a 140mm stem option though.

Re: Spect Strada
Exactly my thought... supernice aerobike, and failing with that one.. i think with a more aero-focused frame it should have steeper STA.
74 or 74.5 even for 540 frame.

They said this about the Mira frame:
"We have full confidence in the Mira's build quality and paintwork.
But when it came to geometry, we lacked a clear direction, so we drew inspiration from the Cervelo S5."
🤣

Re: XMCS - 2026 AERYS:VRT and AERYS:… That price increase is the real stickler tbh, I've no doubts at all on quality and would be happy to spend more considering how good my cs-r01 has been, but when you go over 1500 for a frame you really start to incorporate resale into the decision, brands like Tavelo and winspace hold better mindshare in that regard and are seen as a more known bet.
