I am very curious to see how Velobuild.Bikes will respond to the comments in the forum. Actually I had planned to press the order button in the next few days, now I will wait and see how the discussion develops and look for alternatives if so nothing changes in the quality of the framesets...

Hello all Thank you for responding. I think if you ask people here, QC is probably the most important aspect Vb needs to focus on. Anecdotally, most of the issues seem to be around: 1) missing or incorrect hardware 2) poor machining of hardware or mounting points on the frame 3) incorrect or sloppy paint job 4) “bait and switch” specifically around handlebars 5) poor after sales service The frames themselves are fine. The customer expectation is that they will receive exactly what they have ordered, and not have to contact for after service support. Because, let’s be honest, after sales support is weak and aside from receiving a broken frame in the mail, the VB warranty is almost useless. It is also in VBs interest to take the extra time to ensure an order is correct and free of defects. Consider how much time and money is wasted dealing with after sale complaints, as well as the loss of reputation when these complaints are shared on forums? Ideally, VB wants to be in a position where you will never hear from a customer again, unless it is to buy another frame. I am not saying this to complain. Anyone else freak out when having to remove a pressfit bb? just took mine out and installed a dub BB so SRAMANO is no more. So nerve wracking hitting a bb out of the frame lol.

Has anyone else experienced this? I heard from another 168 owner that he is having shifting issues due to tension of the cables or something to that effect, not quite sure what he means. After watching the Cam Nicholls video, am I the only one who doesn't think this bike looks fast? It looks like it was designed to have the appearance of being aero from the side profile, but clearly fails in several areas. The frontal profile on the head tube and fork is super chunky compared to the Falath Pro. Everyone knows frontal area=drag. There's also a lot of weird tube profiles, the seat tube and gusset have a really square frontal profile, and the top-down cross-section of the head-tube right behind the steerer doesn't really taper, instead terminating in a chunky square flat back like on a Trek Madone. This area of the head-tube is probably the most important part to make as narrow as possible since it gets the cleanest air. But then the downtube narrows and never widens again to shield the water bottle. It's backwards of what you want, which is narrow up top and a wider, flatter back down low to shield the bottle. I just don't get it. I'm not an aerodynamics expert but this bike seems to just violate a bunch of aero principles I know of. I wouldn't be surprised if the outgoing model is faster with bottles on. That and it's heavy. I initially saw online rumors that the frame would be ~900gr. Now 400 grams over that? Even heavier than the outgoing model? I can't see this being popular. Hi Eddy, 100 and 142 are frame/wheel standards. 125 and 165 is the length of the axles which needs to be longer to be able to go thru the frame/wheel/frame and thread in. This is normal. July 02, 2023, 03:17:08 PM |

Seen gc performance erx update and teaser of the winspace agile. So the erx is sleeping @15 secs. With no movement(vibration) of the rear derailleur. It seems sensitive to quickly turn back on. I guess with smooth enough roads it's possible the derailleur could turn off and you can't shift. I wonder how it acts going uphill. When going slow and not that much vibration happening will you get stuck in a gear. Basically any stop would be enough for sleep. I wonder how he was getting no front shifts but the rear was working. Both Shimano Ultegra mechanical shifting groupsets R8000 (rim brake) and R8020 (hydraulic) are still tremendous values even till this day. 3 of my bikes still run Ultegra R8020, and the gear shifts are just as fast and reliable as electronic groupsets even after several thousands of miles. Obviously having to route four cables internally is a pain, which is almost worth the electronic upgrade alone. It just seems like until LTWOO/Sensai can offer a mechanical groupset that matches the refinement of Ultegra mechanical...making the quick jump to electronic is a difficult ask for early adopters. I still want one though, as it would make for good YouTube content

Have they said whether the eRX has satellite ports? I’m guessing no. Maybe for the second gen. For me, that’s one of the huge benefits of electronic shifting. And a prerequisite for me to upgrade at this point.
