Did 100mile gravel race on the bike yesterday. Held up really well over some pretty rough corrugated roads. Hard to tell, but I suspect the 2.1 tyres helped more than the cheap gravel suspension fork.
I put the stock fork on this morning and the bike feels a lot better now (slightly slacker, so less twitchy with no toe overlap. And also no “squish”, which I prefer). And, obviously, much lighter.
Had to do a bit of a bodge with the brake hose, since I specifically want the ability to swap forks without rerouting cables. Seems ok, if a little fugly.

« on: May 22, 2025, 01:34:39 AM »The Lecon bar comes with two c rings, one plastic one metal. Use the plastic one, metal is regularly trash as is often out of tolerance. Then you should not have any headset play.

Couldn’t get the valve to release. Turns out I had the olive on backwards, so that’s solved now.
Now I just need to remove the play from the headset, seems I have a similar issue to others here in that regard

Frame finally arrived this afternoon, evening of building commenced.
Ironically, ran into a roadblock with the only non-Chinese component on the bike, my sram brakes off my old bike. Just couldn’t get the stealthamajig to work, no matter what I tried.
Eventually admitted defeat, moved on and add the rest, will take it into the shop tomorrow for brake fixing.
Current build:
- lexon gravel bars (38-90)
- Boland gravel suspension fork (I plan on swapping between this and the stock fork)
- Roval c38 wheels off my old bike
- sram Axs (rival/gx) Groupset
- SIGEYI Axs power meter with a (surprising) 48T chainring with no clearance issues
- (after brakes are sorted) Vittoria mezcal 2.1 tyres (mainly coz I can’t get thunder burts anywhere)

I guess you have the Falath Evo+ right? With the longer reach and smaller seat tube?
Which handlebar/stem or onepiece handlebar did you choose?
Yes, I have the Evo+
Elves has a 90-400 bar stem on it
I’m going with a Lexon gravel bar in 90-380 (flares to 480 in the drops)

I've been lurking this thread here on WW and on CT for quite a while and I'm about to pull the trigger on this frame, but I'm unsure about sizing.
I've build myself an Elves Falath Evo Roadbike last year, which fits me quite well. It's the 2023 version in 52 with a 378mm reach and 540mm stack. I'm running a 100mm onepiece stem handlebar with 70mm reach and 34mm stack. The seatpost has also a 25mm setback.
So I'm wondering if I should also get the 52 for the tideace noah, because it's pretty similar. The Tideace has a longer reach tho. The comparison on bike-stats geometry-wise doesn't look to bad, but I'm worried about the longer reach. It's 396, so basically 18mm longer.
So my questions are as follows:
How does my 25mm setback on the setpost convert to the reach measurements? I don't think its 1:1, is it?
Does the Tideace come with a setback seatpost?
I wanna run the AeroGx handlebar from elves supbrand Orome wich is designed for a 1 1/8" steerer diameter, does it fit on this fork? Or can somebody recommend another handlebar? I've seen Lexon mentioned, but I don't like the extreme flare these ones have.

P.S: I'm 175cm height with an 84cm inseam.
I have a 54cm elves evo (2024 version though) with 100mm stem.
I’ve ordered a 54cm GR201, should arrive in the next 10 days.
Will report back on fit, but looks like it’ll be good, though obviously more relaxed than the elves (which is what I want in a gravel bike)

Has anyone actually run 2.1 or 2.2 tyres in this frame and, if so, what was the clearance like? (Obviously thinking Thunder Burt/Conti Race King if possible)
