an "open mold" → a generic frame legally manufactured without a copied brand. An open mold frame is not necessarily illegal as long as it does not reproduce

in this case, Specialized does not register the frame shape or even its name (SL8). only the logos specialized, S...and trademarks "sworks" "sworks tarmac sl8, roubaix, and so on are registered and can only be used and reproduced with the brand's permission. Therefore, the frame Tantan is not a counterfeit, simply because it only reproduces a form of frame that is not registered.

Tantan isnt't a counterfeit frame... Yet it breaks !

Bikes will always break, whether they're counterfeit, generic, or premium brands. I've owned loads of bikes and none of them had a problem... well, almost. I did have a Trek Fuel EX mountain bike whose seat stays cracked, even though the frame cost over €3,000 at the time. My personal conclusion is that these bikes aren't any less bad than others. Everyone is free to do as they please.

Unfortunately, we can't generalize. The result depends on the manufacturer's sourcing, the type of molding (not always EPS)... etc. Personally, I've never encountered the slightest problem... from my point of view, there's no structural risk; the bikes are solid. Now, are they more performant than the original? It's difficult to judge, so I have no idea, but from my point of view, that's not the question to ask. Otherwise, buy the original, which is 10 times more expensive, or buy used.

L'illégalité ne réside pas dans le cadre mais dans l'usage de la marque factor, qui est déposée.
Tu pourrais bien appliquer le logo Factor sur n'importe quel cadre que le résultat serait le même, usage d'un logo, ou d'une marque déposée sans autorisation de la dite marque.
C'est comme une paire de logo Enve sur une paire de roues qui n'est pas de la marque, c'est illégal.

Il est même possible d'acheter ce cadre sans logo...ce qui n'en fait pas une copie illégale !

This isn't a fake frame, it's a real one... The illegality lies not in the frame itself, but in the use of the Factor trademark, which is registered.

You could put the Factor logo on any frame and the result would be the same: unauthorized use of a logo or trademark.

It's like putting Enve logos on wheels that aren't from that brand; it's illegal.

It's even possible to buy this frame without the logo... which doesn't make it an illegal copy!

Personally, I only had minor issues: the stem cap was poorly finished, and the screw that holds the insert at the rear of the frame for the thru-axle was a bit of a problem.

You must remove the metal piece in order to remove the seat post.

Il faut poncer l'intérieur du pivot pour qu'il soit rugueux. Tu peux en plus mettre un bout de papier de verre enroulé sur l'expandeur , ce qui renforcera l'adhérence.

Pour insérer la tige de selle il faut retirer une lame en metal qui s'insère entre le carbone et la tige de selle ( les 2 vis de serrage appui sur cette lame pour bloquer la tige de selle.! )
J'ai l'impression que sur ton cadre cette pièce n'existe pas... Peux tu faire une photo de l'endroit où rentre la tige de selle dans le cadre (sans la tige de selle).

No, replicas aren't lighter than the original. If your so-called original fork weighs more than 500g, then you have a problem. Either your "original" V2 is a (bad) fake, or your scale is faulty, or you weighed it with the expander in the steerer tube...  . The real V2 fork is around 350g, while replicas are more like 400g. As for the frame, the copy is generally at least 150 to 200g heavier. So yes, it can be difficult to route the hose through the fork, but that doesn't make the bike a bad bike..

J'ai rencontré le même problème (je l'avais d'ailleurs écrit un peu avant dans les pages du forum). Il faut effectivement soit un guide, soit beaucoup de chance pour réussir (une lampe aidera ! ). Donc rien d'impossible mais patience requise.
