My KORE Cyclone CRACKED after 500km of road riding.

never flatted, 31-32mm tyres, always on-road, 85kg and with tubes. Sent images to KORE and they blamed the crack from a rock strike. They also rested on their 2000 sales and said they test EVERY wheel for safety (what ever that means?) Told me to buy a new rim and build it back up myself. Crap customer service and questionable rims

Hi everyone,

First of all, based on the photos and information provided, we can confirm that the damage on this wheel appears to have been caused by an external impact or a serious collision, rather than a manufacturing defect.

We would also like to clarify that we have never refused responsibility or ignored customer concerns. Before every wheelset leaves our factory, it goes through three separate inspection procedures to ensure that it meets our quality standards. We do not ship wheels with known defects or quality issues.

Regarding the testing process mentioned in the discussion, we do have comprehensive inspection procedures for our wheelsets, including structural and performance checks before shipping. You can see some examples of our inspection process here:

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ak4BGuw09Pc

We also want to clarify that we have never used our sales numbers as an excuse or as a way to avoid responsibility. Sales volume does not determine whether a single case should be reviewed — every customer issue is taken seriously.

Regarding the communication history, we are happy to provide the complete conversation record if necessary. We believe that showing only one image or a partial conversation can easily lead to misunderstandings about the situation.

After reviewing this case, we also offered a solution and arranged support for the customer, including providing a replacement wheelset. However, this follow-up information was not shared in the discussion, which gives an incomplete picture of how the issue was handled.

We respect all customer feedback, including negative experiences, because they help us improve. At the same time, we hope that discussions can include the full context so that everyone can have a fair understanding of the situation.

Thank you.

Leslie

More than +100e for shipping, is that normal for EU customer ?
Hello, you can also check our official website.

For EU customers, the price on our official website already includes all fees, so it is usually more friendly and more cost-effective for European countries.

You can also compare prices across different platforms before placing an order. Because each platform may have different coupons or promotions, the final price may not always be the same. We suggest checking multiple platforms and choosing the one with the best price for you.

Regarding the vibration or wobble issue, if we only have a written description, it is very difficult for the seller to confirm the exact cause.

That is why we need a clear video. It will help us better judge whether the issue is caused by the wheelset itself, the tire, the installation, or another factor.

Please don’t worry — the after-sales team will continue to help you handle this issue. We will communicate with you and try to find a solution that is acceptable for both sides.

You can check and compare the prices on different platforms before purchasing.

I purchased from Temu, Kinan Shop.
Honestly, I'm disappointed for two reasons:
1) they're missing spare spokes.
2) buying directly from Kone would have saved me about €50, including DPD shipping;
How can I get spare spokes?

Thank you
Yes, my friend. In the future, you can compare the prices between our official website, Temu, and AliExpress. You can simply choose the platform with the best price advantage.

The shipping time is basically the same.

Regarding the spare spokes, we usually recommend contacting the seller before placing the order and asking whether spare spokes can be included. In most cases, we can provide spare spokes for free.

For your situation, please contact the Temu seller first, and they will help arrange the spare spokes for you.

I've been stupid, bought a set of the Top Gun SL50's, ripped off and threw away the hub protector from my rear wheel... Anyone know what size replacement I'll need? I have zero bike knowledge
You can contact the store where you purchased the wheelset directly.

They will guide you through the steps and can also provide a video to help you understand how to install or replace the part correctly.

EU customer here. They made me choose the Aliexpress standard shipping, which costs about €66 currently. They delivered a symbolic package via the standard Ali shipping which contained 1 tpu tube. They said I could reject it, because there was a customs fee of €11, which I didn’t end up doing, because I don’t like landfill. The wheelset came with DPD, no taxes or questions asked there. They are very responsive to questions, had great communication with them. Sometimes so nice that it actually looked like they were going to scam me. This method seems a bit sketchy, but ended up being all good. 100% recommend. So; Pick AliExpress standard shipping and NOT aliexpress large goods by land or DHL. Ordered on 9th of june, shipped 13th delivered 25th to NL.
Yes, I suggest contacting the seller before purchasing.

Their recommended shipping is usually DDP / tax-included, so you normally don’t need to pay extra customs duties. Just confirm the details with the seller before ordering.

Is your shop and the two selling on AliExpress all the same?
AliExpress, Temu, Ozon, and eBay are all official direct-sales channels operated by KORE.

At the moment, KORE wheelsets have not been authorized to any other third-party stores or sellers.

So if you purchase from these official channels, you can contact the seller directly for after-sales support or accessories.

I've also had the Cyclones 36T HG white since yesterday, which weighed 1217 grams (taped) on my scale. They're already taped. The grease was really low, so I added my own, which also reduced the noise.
The box contains the 11-speed adapter ring and nothing else. There are NO spare spokes or inner tubes.
Did you purchase it from Temu?

If it was purchased from Temu, the package is shipped through their transit warehouse, so spare spokes and inner tubes may not be included.

If you purchased from AliExpress, our official website, or eBay, you can contact the seller directly and ask them to help provide these accessories.

Thank you for your understanding.

Just to clarify a few common questions about the KORE CYCLONE Carbon Wheelset.

First, the price may be different on different platforms or in different countries. This is usually related to platform fees, shipping routes, transportation costs, and local tax rules. It is not only decided by the product itself. For most European areas, DDP shipping is usually supported. This means the amount paid at checkout normally includes shipping and taxes, so there is usually no extra customs duty to pay after delivery.

Second, the real weight of the white CYCLONE wheelset is around 1199g. The black version can be slightly heavier because of the extra paint and surface finish. Apart from the color and finish, both versions use the same carbon material, rim structure, carbon spokes, and hub system. Spare spokes and inner tubes are usually included for future maintenance.

About the logo, the CYCLONE logo is applied during the factory painting process. The rims are painted first, and then they are built into complete wheels and checked. Because of this process, this model cannot be made as a no-logo version at the moment. Removing, sanding, or damaging the original paint may affect the surface protection and may also affect the normal warranty.

Another common question is why some Chinese wheelsets may arrive with less visible grease in the bearings or freehub body. This is often related to export and air shipping regulations. Some oil-based materials may be restricted during export inspection or air transport. If too much grease is applied before shipping, the package may be delayed, returned, or rejected for air transport. Because of this, many wheelsets exported from China are not heavily lubricated before shipping. After receiving the wheels, riders can check the bearings and freehub body and add suitable grease according to their riding conditions and maintenance habits.

This is only to help explain some details about carbon wheelset production, shipping, and maintenance. Weight, structure, painting, maintenance, and logistics can all affect the final user experience.
