working on some interesting stuff, I've scanned the stock aerobars and designed a fairing-esque platform for hydration / nutrition / a computer tower in between. all of this will be configurable and open source as well when I finish the project.
will post more updates soon, hopefully with a functional BTA + computer tower, which will mount around the current screw positions. if anyone here has cool ideas to improve this or some criticism, I'd love to hear it!

I also finally managed to build my Velobuild TT-023. Attached a photo of the finished bike.

Here is my setup:

Frame: VB-TT-023,  1022 euro
Bottom bracket: Senicx ceramic t47 bb, 44 euro

Wheels: Elitewheels 80mm, 370 euro
Tires: Vittoria Corsa Pro G2 TLR with TPU Ridenow innertube, 101 euro
Rotors: RT-CL900 dura-ace, 45 euro

Groupset: shimano Ultegra/dura ace di2 12 speed for tt bike, 1004 euro

Hey there, currently in the weeds of building up a similar spec TT-023 with di2. How did you route the di2 wires through the extensions and spacers? Did you use the third hole or the top holes of the stem?

Here I am again. :'(
In my previous post, I mentioned the creaking stem problem.
I got a new one from Chris back then, and I thought it was solved.
However, after several rides, it is creaking again.
I doubt it is my stem and not the handlebars themselves.
I tightened my stem to 9 Nm
expander to 12 Nm
I first tightened the rear handlebar bolts to 4 Nm; those are the bolts close to the headset
and then the front ones to 4 Nm.
Everything is mounted with carbon paste; am I doing something wrong?
My cover is also recessed a few millimeters relative to the top of the stem.

I emailed Chris about this problem again; as of today, no response yet. Do you guys possibly know the solution?

Is it creaking while riding all the time, or on the handlebars or on the aerobars?
At first it wasn´t creaking and it started after?
Do you feel it bending when hitting a bump or speed limiter on the road?

Tobi

My situation is similar to Kelvin's; I also get a creaking sound when I grip the aerobars, especially when riding out of the saddle. I've tightened everything according to the specifications, but I'm still hopeful that it will go away. So far, I've only ridden the bike once. :o

cockpit update: the first version is done and ready for CFD. still need to find a better way to secure the plate between the two bars as I don't completely would trust this on a ride yet.

It only creaks when I hold the handlebars near the shifters—especially when I stand up to accelerate after a corner.
When I'm in my TT position, there's absolutely no creaking, even when going over speed bumps.
So, the issue must be in the stem or the base bar.

How did you secure your base bar?

Yes i did! I saw the paintjob on insta and asked Chris for something heavily inspired by this with a brighter red like the original mp4/4. Absolutely in love with it. hope you take it as a compliment instead of me ripping you off :))
