Thoughtful to have but way overdone. My ICAN Graro is just as egregious

Hi Patrick,

after reviewing the XMCS VRT and the Quick Pro Er:One, do you plan to test the LCR020 as well?

It would be very interesting to see whether the lower price of the LCR020 corresponds to an equivalent level of quality or performance.

Thanks

Perhaps I didn't express myself clearly... what I meant is that it would be interesting to know if, given a lower purchase price compared to VRT and Er:One, it is possible to achieve an equivalent level of quality/performance, or, if not, how much of a gap there might be.

XMCS has really got crazy - I would pay this price if the after sale service was on par and available locally

kind of. THE VRT is a lovely bike. would love to try one. the LCR020's headset area is a bit leaner, also the fork. that's why i chose it. Also it is like half the price. and i'm cheap  8) And i love my LCR018

I think most of the difference comes from 2 places. I believe the carbon used is different between the two frames. XMCS using more expensive high modulus carbon. Hence the weight difference. Second I believe XMCS is monocoque while LC is not.

If you factor out weight, I see no reason why this frame couldn't be a could not be on par in terms of performance. It will come down to their layup. This isn't LC's first time making a bike, I would imagine they know what they are doing. More cheaper carbon will add weight but can provide the same stiffness.

Both frames are "monocoque".
The XMCS frame is one-piece monocoque.

What you say is true; I have no doubt about the quality of the LCR020 frame. However, I would be interested to hear from someone who has tested both frames if there are any noticeable differences in how they perform on the road.

Even @patliean1, in his videos, noted differences between the VRT and the Er:One, even though he claim that both are excellent frames. I suppose, therefore, that if he were to test an LCR020, although similar to the other two frames, he would still notice some differences.

I agree I would love to see a comparison from someone who has rode both frames. At this point, we can only speculate, as the LCR020 hasn't been sent out to anyone yet. They are just getting through production of the first size.
