What tires are you running? I'm looking at getting skin wall ones myself

Continental GP5000 28mm. It rides like a dream. A lot more comfort compared to my other 25mm.

I was perusing the UCI approved frame list today and I think we have the first UCI approved version of this frame: the BAAS Novel Aero. https://baascycling.nl/

The pricing seems pretty fair for fully built bikes and hopefully it means these frames will get more attention via racing and the exposure that it brings. However, it just feels wrong that they would name an open mold bike "Novel Aero." Nothing novel about it.

Winspace T1500 has been around for well over 4 years. UCI approved.

That is a different frame isnt it?

But the Winspace story does give some credibility to the notion that racing does raise the profile of these frames.

It is a different frame.

Also, I don't think the Winspace is the first UCI open mold frame either.

But great to see these getting more exposure.

How would you rate the stiffness and comfort of the frame?
Do you think 30 mm tires would fit?

Yes, it is indeed freshly waxed. The chain was making an enormous amount of noise though when it was cleaned to just metal.

I'm curious the measurement of the headset bearing cover? Looks like 15mm. I've got a few setups cooking on a bike-stats.de geometry table that I'm trying to work out..

considering Speeder R49D / TanTan X38 / SPcycle R065 at this point.

Recently finished my SC-R49 build and I noticed my R7100 105 DI2 front derailleur is touching the seattube right above the hanger. Anyone else had this issue?

Joda55

I've been starting to look at this bike.

Had settled for the Mondince FM126 but this bike might do just as well, if not better, as a Road/TT hybrid. Should be faster as well because of the more aggressive geometry. And the build quality should be just as good since they're OEM manufacturers.

Anyone have any long term reports on it?

Could someone tell me which this frame is not discussed more ? It looks like nobody is interested whereas It looks good even for a 2 years old.

Dark17

I think this is too expensive for a Chiner frame. Yet XMCS and Quick Pro is 1.5k USD and it's more discussed.

The price is not that high. There must be another explanation 😅.

People are influenced by influencers (sic!) and desire to buy bootleg frames. Hence so much going on in Quick pro and Ostro VAM/SL7 copies threads.

You are right. I am sure that if someone like Patrick (or [not] 😅 Hambini)  tested the frame, it will increase a lot the number of comments.
