And here finally my report on the two builds based on this frame.

First the frame quality. As you can see in the pictures.
The finish is so so... But ok, it is a relatively cheap frame.

The top and bottom headset cups were, how to say that... kind of rough?
And a quick look inside show wrinkles and carbon sheets going out everywhere.
Glad everything is closed now, so it does not exist anymore 

Then comes a funny thing about the brakes.
This is XT brakes, quite standard.
At the rear, there is a fillet between the seatstay and chainstay that prevents the caliper to move outward as it should to avoid disc rub.
File the carbon fillet was probably not a good idea, so... yeah... file the caliper 
When asked, Tideace confirmed me this was the... solution 
And since we are at it, face the mounts maybe be necessary...

And finally the crank. It is BB92, which in itself is a bad news, but ok.
The frame is apparently designed for the Shimano's wide chainline of 56.5mm. Is this for DH ?

With a normal XT crankset, or SRAM a 32T ring will touch the chainstay...
So I did put a 2.5mm shim on the drive side to push the ring a bit outward.
The chainring clearance is bad but i got a 52.5/53mm chainline which is not ideal but ok.
I asked them some clarifications about this, but got you know... the typical non-answers, so classical when us indelicate occidental folks try to know why things do not work as we expect.
I may ignore an important thing about the Shimano 56.5mm chainline, but I can't understand how a 12sp cassette would work correctly with such chainline.

The FM-009 was a very nice frame, I'm less impressed by this one unfortunately.

 I just ordered one with a rigid fork to build as a commuter/gravel bike. I kinda needed the 34/36t chainring clearance (38t max chainring claimed on haideli's website) for it to... work? Hmm, we'll see how it goes. Price was VERY good so hopefully we'll be able to make it work :I

I think your being very generous on the frame finish.  It just looks plain ugly to me and I'd be scared to ride it hard anywhere.  (and that comes from someone who still has and rides - now gently a cannondale raven 2...we all know how they held together or didn't!)

Pity as I was starting to get interested in this frame

Wow. That bearing seat in the headtube looks awful. Not confidence inspiring at all.

I have the SPcycle version of this frame and it's not as bad as the one here. bearing seats are well formed, PF BB is always going to be a potential problem...

I have a RF aeffect chainset with a 0 dish 34T chainring and it's tight, couldn't go bigger in this frame. it's definitely Boost only wheels, no adapters in this or the chainline is not great.
the dropout is a bit odd. I've had the driveside retaining bolt jump a couple of times on rough stuff, especially cornering. I replaced with a slightly longer bolt and it's been fine, but I think it's the design. The threaded section of the dropout, the bit the axle screws into, is part of the inner plate of the dropout/hanger. the outer plate just holds it all in the frames dropout, and is secured using a small bolt. If there is any flex being transmitted through the rear wheel, it loads the little bolt. On similar dropouts (they look very much like cube dropouts) the threaded section is part of the outer plate, so tightening the axle closes it all together around the frame dropout, making for a much more secure setup. No idea why it's different on these frames.

ride wise, it's quite stiff and not that forgiving. it may be the short stays are responsible for that, but it doesn't have the give of other carbon frames I've ridden.

it's light and climbs like a goat though.

I ran mine with 120mm forks, but it's much better suited to forks up to 110mm travel.

I received mine with fork on Friday. I'm going to do an inspection and partial assemble of BB/Crank, headset, and brake mounts to check alignment and report if mine has similar issues to Carbonazza. So far the headset bearing races do not look great either.

I will do any sanding/epoxy work as needed at that point, and then send it to the paint room. As this is going to be a gravel/commuter/monstercross bike, I'm thinking it's going to need to be as obnoxious as possible. VERY tempted to do a bight yellow to neon pink fade with pearl black lettering, but all neons lose their lustre over time in the sun. Open to suggestions on that one!

Another idea is to do a blue/purple chameleon with bright yellow, about 60/40 of each one way or another.

Neon! It fades, sure, but very slowly, and after years of flashy riding.
If you put light sequins it stays great much longer.

Threw together some neon fade concepts. Personally I'm leaning towards #4. Still need to come up with a model name.

The place where I paint in the winter lost one of its two boilers the other day so it might take a minute or two before any primer goes on. Oh well. Still gotta do the compatibility checks.

For build, Ideally I'm going to go SRAM 1x11 drop bar style. MONSTERCROSS!
