Apparently, even in China, Ltwoo has a bad reputation, with people complaining about reliability issues and poor customer support. I thought it was a Western thing, but no.
They sell RDs for 100$ a pop, we pay more because of platform fees & shipping, but as far as i'm concerned, the trend is your friend. If it dies less often, whether it's because of better soldering, or because someone is doing voodoo on every batch that comes out, as long as it works, i'm happy. I wouldn't expect a chinese factory to acknowledge mistakes, but as long as they improve the stuff, i'm game.
Sram released a cassette that retails for 615 eur, so at this point, out of principle, i'll buy chinese. My friend runs DA di2. if he crashes and trashes his RD, i wonder how much it will cost him.

I've been talking to Chinese cyclists on social media almost daily and they also prefer having more reliable products and customer transparency. Shimano is quite affordable there (more so than in the west), so the comparison is always I can get Shimano for this price, why buy something else? I've also learned cycling is quite a young sport in China and we can thank the pandemic and social media for really kicking off interest in the sport. Many young people apparently saw cool photos and at the same time liked the idea of being outdoors. I've also learned cycling groups has been a big trend for dating!  ;D The huge spike in Chinese products and innovations we're seeing today was helped in part by cycling influencers! I think there's a lot of domestic pressure on LTwoo to improve across the board, so it's a win-win for us.  :)

I know this thread is about Ltwoo but do you hear much about Wheeltop?  Have you tried Wheeltop?

I'm following Wheeltop's account on one of the Chinese social media outlets, but I think they're in a similar boat as LTwoo. I think there is growing interest in Magene's upcoming groupset. The allure there is that they will have a fully integrated product line similar to Apple and the hope is better all-around support.

ER9 or just the regular R9? Contact 80 Design Store, I've bought small miscellaneous from them a few times and they always deliver.

I think 80 Designer Store did have a listing for them. They are currently just out of stock for the ER9 hence you cannot find their listings anywhere (except in your orders if you ordered that specific item before). So yeah just send them a message and they let you know if and when they can send you one.
Slow on the climb. And everywhere else.

Anyone know if ER9 RD is supposed to have a charging port? The FD clearly has a USB C port, but is the RD supposed to as well, or does all recharging occur thru the FD?

Old version had magnetic proprietary charger on RD and nothing on FD. New version supposedly has USB-C port on the FD but no port or magnetic charger on RD.
