Hi,

Someone has build a bike with longteng  LTK-266 or LTK-268 frameset?
It is one of the options with Yishunbike and Speeder.
Thanks.

LTK-268 is the same frame as Velobuild VB-R-099.
There are some here in the forum who have had good experience with the VB-R-099.

Extremely pleased with my 268. I built 2, the other victim is also super happy. Full build 7.5 or 7.6kg. Bought the bars (36cm) elsewhere. Build was smooth (electronic shifting is really simple). It's built like a tank. I'm c.83kg. It goes vroom vroom fast. I've ridden a lot on various bikes, including fancy ones. I'm not sure what else / more i could want from that bike.

Fast on the flat. And nowhere else.

I have a Velobuild VBR-099 with a Velobuild wheel set. My bike weighs 8.1kg but bear in mind it’s a somewhat heavy build due to various choices I made. e.g. 11-36 cassette, long cage derailleur, longer chain, 32c tubeless tyres, 160mm rotors (which require an adaptor bracket for the brake caliper on this frame), extra padding under the bar tape etc.

My setup is 105 mechanical (other than the Ultegra crankset). Routing the cables was quite tricky but once done it’s been absolutely trouble free. I love this bike and I’d by another one any day of the week! If I recall correctly, it was delivered to the UK in about a week from ordering which was a pleasant surprise. Some people find the bars a little too flexy but for me they're great and they absorb road vibrations nicely. If you're doing a lot of hard sprints out of the saddle, I guess you might not like them so much.

Lol that really looks like the same bike! I didn't know VB sold that! It's so old it's not listed on the website under the road bike section, you have to type in 099 to find it! So their 2020 road bike took 32C, then the following models took narrower tyres, that's... odd.
Fwiw, having bought from LT, the finish quality was better than how i remember the GF002, & 168 from VB. Inside was super clean, tight tolerances on BB area, bearing seats & all that. Stiffer than how i remember the 168 too.

Fast on the flat. And nowhere else.

I’d assumed these frames that get sold by multiple companies in China are all actually manufactured in the same factory but perhaps I’m mistaken? Certainly the inside of my frame was also super clean as expected for an EPS frame.

I have a Velobuild VB-R-099 and I can confirm I am very pleased with how it rides.
Main reason I bought it: with 1,95cm height and 96cm inseam there are not a lot of Chinerframe choices unless you accept heavy saddle to bar drop.
However, and the forum is full of Velobuild, headset play and how to fix it, I struggled until it was set up properly.

Long Tenk LTK268-D, Workswell WCB-R-268, TanTan TT-X21 and Velobuild VB-R-099 are "the same" frame.
Still curious to hear from Long Tenk LTK266-D users (lighter frame, more stack, among a few other differences) - anyone?

At the outset, i asked LT if they sold to VB, they basically said no comment. I'm pretty sure the 2020 VB version didn't use EPS / foam molding, and while i can't say for a fact that my 268 was foam molded, the inside did look super clean (the VB 168 and GF002 were not). And so for these frames that are not branded, whether they're from the same factory, the same mould, the same mold but different manufacturing process, how skills / process evolve over time, afaik we're left guessing. We do know that VB is a broker, and so is Yeoleo. I dont think ICAN is a factory either, but you might also be buying a different version of the frame you'd buy from the factory.
Or they're all exactly the same. Who knows :)
I do know i like my bike a lot though. I feel like it's the bike that's enabled me to push the most watts (position wise, i'm upright on this thing), which ultimately is what i care about: building / maintaining fitness, and bragging about my FTP (as indicated by Dylan Johnson, my FTP is your FTP+10W).
Fast on the flat. And nowhere else.

I contacted to LT about 266 frameset and they informed me that they are not manufacturing size 54 frameset due to not enough orders. :(
