I did a fair bit of climbing this weekend. It was on the road, but I used the MTB and this was a mountain so technically...
I climbed the frontside of Mt. Lemmon in Tucson, Arizona. I've done the backside a few times, but this was the first time I've ever ridden up the front. It turns out they were having a race on the mountain yesterday so I stumbled into that and rode with many people. Everyone else was on road bikes. I got passed by a few people, but I passed a ton of people, so that felt good. Lots of comments about what I was doing out there on an MTB. I rode the entire climb with no stops, which I'm super proud of since I've been working on pacing and sustained efforts.
The temperature was 70°F at the top and ~100°F at the bottom. I left early to beat the heat.
Total elevation gain was 6775 ft over the whole ride. My max speed on descent was 42 mph. I could have been faster with something better than a 32x10. Much of the way down a barely had to pedal. It was a good 35 minutes of just bombing downhill with some stops for pictures.

These were all taken on the trip down about ~2000 ft from the top, just below the pine trees

My next goal is a 10,000 ft ride of 80+ miles. o_O
