Completed CS-092

Hi guys,
Here is my completed build. All carbon parts were obtained from Peter at Xmcarbonspeed.
CS-092 size 54cm---955 grams with paint
b6 400mm handlebar
st2 110 mm stem
38mm front and 50mm rear clincher wheelset built on dt-swiss 240s from Peter

Drivetrain is all Ultegra Di2 with the exception of the Dura-ace crankset and pedals.

Final weight is 7.88 kg

I've taken it for a couple spins and have been very pleased. Probably take it out for a couple more easy spins to build some confidence then I'll start putting it through the paces.

Same here. Would probably pretty much imitate this build exactly. Once every few years, I get the itch to give road biking another go. Maybe this spring.

One question bclem.. the 092, is this more of a relaxed geometry frame (looks like it) or more race geometry oriented?

Hi guys thanks for the compliments. I've only had one other road bike and that's a trek 2300 which I've ridden for 10 years, thus I'm very used to that "classic geometry". I'd say most road bikes have very similar numbers in regards to seat tube and top tube lengths while the 092 adds two centimeters to the top tube length this give it a stretched out feel (not necessarily a bad thing). Second the head tube seems quite tall this lends to a slightly more upright position. As you can see I have the stem slammed and inverted, like this my bars are still nearly a centimeters and a half higher than my trek 2300. With the increased reach it still feels plenty aggressive. I have to play with a shorter stem and or a stem with a more aggressive angle. Still need to put some more miles in and see how the bike feels.

I wil also do a 6870 build with R785/RS805 brakes and DT Swiss R24 Spline db wheels.
Should be finished in about 3-4 weeks.

quick update; the bike has been riding great, I'm just shy of 300 miles on it with no problems to report.
Shimano 6870 is phenomenal. Shifts every time, crisply with no hesitation. Haven't had any chain drops or miss shifts to report, very impressed.
as for fit, I feel much more comfortable on the bike now than at first. I bought a -17 degree stem but haven't tested it out. The current setup has grown on me quite a bit.

There was a question about tire sizes and brake cable routing hope these images help clear things up. Peter says the bike can run 28's I'm running 23's now on 25mm width rims which equate to 17.5mm internal width. I think I could get upto 28's but not sure about snow spikes. Opps forgot to resize.
