Sure ! When don't know how to assemble a bike, don't come complaining 😅. If Factor says to use T47a tubing, why would you want to use T47 tubing? 🤔

Update as of this writing.  Changed my wheelset to 24/34mm int/ext, wrapped with 30mm tires.  Stiff yet forgiving.

P..S. Now I've cut down the stearer the stem cap doesn't fit like the other one. Still feels very flexible compared to my fake sl7 bars (very stiff) and my fake sl8 bar/stem. (Somewhere in the middle)  Even my 140mm ally stem with 44mm bars  on my indoor trainer moves less.


At this rate I'm going to have to put on a separate bar and wait for a genuine bar to come up on ebay. Wasn't really the size I wanted anyway but they didn't do 120/38.

• Rider weight: 75 kg.
• Usage: No crashes, no impacts, and no improper handling.
• Maintenance: The bike was never clamped by the frame tubes in a repair stand or bike rack.

The crack must have surfaced during the last road ride. I have already contacted the AliExpress support to inquire about a warranty claim or refund. I’ll keep you updated on how they handle the situation.

Could you tell how deep is your seatpost in the seat tube ?

To my untrained eyes, this looks like your seat post slipped down too much and hit the frame. That caused the crack. Hardly the manufacturers fault etc. IF they honour this, you are a lucky dude.
The seat post should have been cut properly during the original assembly.

It is what I think and this is why I asked for the depth of the seatpost. Even if it has not slipped, too deep seat post can cause crack.

Could you tell how deep is your seatpost in the seat tube ?

To my untrained eyes, this looks like your seat post slipped down too much and hit the frame. That caused the crack. Hardly the manufacturers fault etc. IF they honour this, you are a lucky dude.

The seatpost was inserted to a depth of 17,5 cm, with the '10 marking' positioned roughly 0,5 cm above the frame opening.

The post never slipped during use. The frame’s maximum insertion depth is indicated by the '13 marking,' meaning there was still 3 cm of clearance between the end of the seatpost and the internal of the frame, more than enough safety margin. I have attached photos of the bottom of the seatpost to show there are absolutely no impact marks or signs of bottoming out. You can make out the insertion depth by the carbon grip compound.

For context: I am a mechanical engineering graduate student and have previous professional experience working in bike shops. I am very meticulous with maintenance; all bolts were tightened to spec using a calibrated torque wrench, and assembly was done following best practices.

Personally, I shortened the seatpost to avoid any problems. You also have some "cracking" on the two seatpost clamp bolts, which could be a cause for concern. Did you report this issue to the seller?
