Hello. What paint is the frame? Metallic or chameleon? I want to buy this frame on AliExpress. I'm choosing the frame color and want to see how it will look. It's a shame that people mostly buy unpainted frames.

Chameleon blue

Hi,
I am also considering this frame for my next build. I would love to keep it below 7kg for a 58 frame.
From Reading these 60+ pages it seems doable but with basic Carbon black in glossy or mate. Not sure If Like that look to much. Anyone would have the frame weight in 58 with cameleon paint?

That looks great. What brand etc is your bar tape?

Serfas bar tape in dark brown cork. Has good elasticity, non-sticky adhesive and can easily be cleaned with a damp cloth or alcohol spray.

I'd use mild loctite. My FD screws initially loosened up and was causing poor FD shifting. I periodically check it to make sure they're on tightly. I opted to use the mechanical FD hole as opposed to the hole behind FD plate because it was easier for me to route the battery cable with my ER9 groupset. You could always place some tape or a rubber grommet for moisture protection.
I'll be using a Sram Force Etap AXS groupset (wireless), so I was thinking of applying a flat rubber cap to close the hole...if anyone has already done this and has a specific model to recommend, please let me know.
Thanks

Can't help you on the handle bars since I went with a separate bar and stem. Are you planning to use that many spacers though? That seems a bit excessive. Did you get a frame too small for your reach/height?
No, absolutely not! I don't need all those spacers, but I still need to cut the fork!  ;D

Regarding the issue I encountered with the headset cover, I tried contacting the manufacturer to see if it's a defect in mine, or if the model is incompatible with the R088 frame...in this case, to use the handlebars, I'd need to find another round cover that fits the SL8-type spacers.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

Hello everyone, does anyone have experience with the Speeder SC-R55D and the R088 frame, specifically regarding frame quality and stiffness? I'm interested in how these frames perform under load, especially in terms of torsional rigidity and responsiveness. Any insights or comparisons would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I imagine this is it, and it's one of the few that I would have found too.....but the external diameter is 56mm, if I remember correctly the headset cover supplied with the frame is 57/58mm.

EDIT: I was confused about the diameter with another model I would find, which is this one:

I'm willing to bet that this Ryet set would work. Would it be a clean transition to your stem, that's a different question. Looks exactly like what came with my Lexon Vero handlebar, which worked great. All the measurements are there, so try to compare yours and I would be interested to know what went wrong with yours.

Hi, the 59mm top cap might be right for me...can you send me the link?
Unfortunately I can't find it on Aliexpress.
Thanks

EDIT: found by searching on Google....but I see that the cable entry piece that should be placed on the handlebar stem is not included.

Waiting to receive a new headset kit, these could be the final settings....but before cutting the fork above the handlebars I want to finish assembling the frame and do some tests first.  ;)

Sorry, I realized I didn't reply to you...the problem with the headset top cap supplied with the Elita One SL8 handlebar (but I believe it applies to all Roval Rapide replica models) is that the fork hole isn't centered on the outer diameter of the round cap. There's a misalignment (purple arrow in the photo) between the two axes (see green and yellow lines in the photo), so the headset top cap doesn't completely cover the head tube hole and protrudes from the frame at the front (hope I explained).

So I ended up ordering this top cap and spacer kit (see photo 2 + 3), which should work fine since the two centers (top cap and fork hole) match. The spacers are 52mm long (compared to the 62mm of the original/replica Roval Rapide spacers), so they shouldn't protrude from the frame, and the aesthetics should be even better...let's hope so!

Well guys, it's been a long process. I'm coming from a rim brake bike that I was riding for 10 years, so it feels like I'm learning everything all over again. Here is my build with Ekar and CSC wheels. It's 6.94kg without cages and pedals. Not too bad considering that I put heavy tires on there for winter and my total cost was just under $2,500.

My frame came really fast and I ordered some wheels from Yoeleo, hoping for a similar experience because the wheels were listed as "ready stock" on the website. Well, I waited a month and they still hadn't shipped them out, so I got these CSC wheels from AliExpress instead. Those arrived quickly from China and cleared customs with no issues, but the local FedEx shipping got delayed. Then I ran into an issue with my brakes because the included barb was too small (no idea how that happened). I ordered a replacement on Amazon and that package got delayed by a week. I felt like my build was cursed.

Frame: It's more comfortable than my old bike, especially in the rear. The geometry is working for me so far. It's a little more aggressive, but not too much. I absolutely love the paint job. On the down side, I'm having some headset issues. I can't get rid of the headset play without tightening so much that the steering feels stiff. I'm still trying to figure out a solution for this. I'll have to go back through this thread to see how other people solved this problem. I'm also having brake rub, which may or may not be because of the frame. I sanded a little bit and that didn't solve the problem, so I'll have to keep working and looking for other potential causes of this problem.

Ekar: I got a great deal on it and I've had sort of a love/hate relationship with it so far. The RD was a nightmare to adjust and I had to loosen the B screw way more than the manual says to get it shifting properly. The lever clamp screws are a pain to reach and I ended up stripping one because I had to torque the hell out of it to keep my levers from slipping on the bars. Finding wheels with N3W hubs or hubs that can easily be changed to N3W is annoying. The bearings are attached to the crank, which is going to be a challenge when it's time to change those. On the bright side, the crank was super easy to install and I like the looks of it. The shifting is fast. I think they nailed the gearing on the cassette with small gaps between small cogs and bigger gaps between larger cogs. I did some climbing on my first ride and everything felt natural. I didn't find myself wishing for a gear that I didn't have.

CSC Wheels: The weight is as advertised, they're true and spin smoothly, but I'm having an issue. With the brakes applied, the wheel still moves front to back a little bit. I mistook it for headset play at first. I went back and tightened the hell out of my rotor lock rings, but that didn't solve the issue. I think it's moving at the hub, not related to the rotors. Could there be a problem with the bearings? It's disappointing. I'm also wondering if the wheels are somehow contributing to the disc rub problem.

Bars/Stem: I got a Lexon Vero integrated setup and this has probably been the best part of the whole build. I was able to get the exact stem length and bar width that I wanted, plus quick shipping. The headset cap and spacers play nicely with the R088 frame and I think it looks great. It comes with what feels like a solid out front mount with adapters for different computer brands and a GoPro mount. I'm going to try the GoPro mount in the future and I'll see if it's as strong as it feels.

To be honest, I'm not that happy right now. Things will be much better if I can solve the headset and brake issues.

The C-ring that came with my bar/stem was giving me the headset issue. It wasn't quite tall enough. I cut up some old BB circlips and glued them on top, but that wasn't solving the issue. Maybe if I get some appropriately sized micro spacers I could make it work. I switched to the C-ring that came with the frame and now the headset feels nice without any play, but there's a 1mm gap between the headset cap and the frame. I might try to sand it down by about 0.5mm some other day when I have more patience for it. It looks horrible and I wouldn't want to ride it in the rain that way.

Are you using centerlock to 6holes adapter?
This is the problem...
