4mm is absolutely fine.
It’s actually the industry minimum, so you don’t need to worry about anything.

I'm fine with the clearance, but what about the difference? I guess it's just 1mm off from 5mm-5mm to 6mm-4mm.

Mine is the same with various sets of wheels. Even my Cervelos are uneven so nothing to worry about.
Cannondales have been horrendous for this in the past ( and I’m not talking about their offset chain stays )

I sent an email enquiry on sunday but didnt hear anything at all in 24 hours.  So I got the emails of Jim, Wendy and carol from this thread and sent them separately in the hope they will respond but I've still not heard anything yet.

I'm wondering if the demand of the LCR018-D is high so they are not as quick to respond.

Its a small operation so they're likely busy with the China Cycle Show going on now on top of being slammed with orders.

In addition to the new aero road bike, I've noticed that they're also coming out with non-eagle-eye versions of this frame and their new aero gravel. UCI compliance related?

new to the forum.  really appreciate folks posting updates on shipping times, photos, and reviews!

i ordered mine or at least paid 4/4/26 (PayPal).  worked with tina who's been very responsive (same day or at most 1 day).

had a couple of weeks of back and forth in making my final paint choices (darker metallic red than ferrari red, fade to clear coated raw carbon, raw carbon LC logo on headtube).  not sure if that delayed anything (hopefully not), but told 2 months eta so we'll see.  i mean i hope it doesn't turn out to be 4 months, but +/- 2 weeks i'm ok with.

it's honestly pretty awesome to be able to spec so much detail, paint color/fades, frame storage (or top tube mounts apparently), handlebar/stem size, etc when ordering..it's basically a made-to-order custom carbon bike, which is a new experience for me.  i added the 53db wheelset in 50mm depth - a great price for decent specs (23mm ID, 1380gm, dt swiss style ratchet hub).  also added their ceramic bb bearings, extra downtube storage bag as others have suggested, as well a pair of bottle cages.  last little touch was to go for the titanium out front mount.  none of the accessories are life changing but are aftermarket accessories it's nice to get upfront. considered adding the elillee carbon cranks but changed my mind last minute

hopefully it rides well.  i've got a parlee altum rim brake mechanical shifting bike i got used for $2500 6 years ago.  it rides great but limited to 26-27mm measured tires and roads here in LA are rough and my 52yo body is getting beat up.  so finally took the leap when this modern endurance aero frame showed up that was affordable.... factor monza and envy fray were on my short lists, but they are so expensive and/or the colors weren't super exciting.

only wish light carbon  sold shimano group sets and it could be shipped pre-built. then it'd be perfect.  for now, i've got 2 months to shop for a groupset. 

XDS/X-Lab entering the us market is going to shake things up even more.  i've ordered a set of elite wheels for my mtn bike which was great.  and initially was going to get a western brand bike and maybe upgrade to nicer/lighter carbon chinese wheels.  but i'm excited to jump on this wave and give LC a try. 

ps. i asked tina @ light carbon if my bike could get the hambini level QA treatment and was willing to pay more for it - she said that level of QA was already being done for my LCR18D and included in the price.  so here's to faced everything and easy build for my mechanic.

Can I ask what is the darker than ferrari red colour you have chosen?  The standard ferrari red shown previously in this thread looks good but I'm also intrigued on your selection.  What was the approx uplift in cost over the standard supply colour?

Can i check what have people paid for in the past for selection of alternative paint options?

I got a price from LC for standard black matte (no decal) and if I want an alternative colour (i.e. ferrari red), the uplift is $250USD which seems higher than what I've seen in previous posts (somewhere in region of $120usd??)

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some geometry advice on the LightCarbon LCR018 frameset as I have quite extreme body proportions and I’m struggling to pick the right size and stem length for my build. My current bike is a size 61, which was a result of some bad advice from a friend, and it's definitely way too big for me.

My height is 182 cm with a 92 cm inseam, which means I have very long legs relative to my height. I am also recovering from ACL surgery, so I need a stable setup that is not too punishing on the knee while remaining fast.

Looking at the geometry chart for the LCR018-D, size 540 has a reach of 383 mm and a stack of 569 mm, whereas size 560 offers a reach of 389 mm and a stack of 586.8 mm. My main concern is that with a 92 cm inseam, my saddle height will be very high and on a size 540, the saddle-to-handlebar drop would be massive. I am leaning towards the size 560 to benefit from the extra 17.8 mm of stack height, but I am worried about the 389 mm reach being too long for my relatively short torso.

I am considering using a shorter stem, perhaps 90 mm or 100 mm from the available options, to compensate for the longer reach on the 560 frame and I wonder if anyone with similar 'all legs' proportions has experience with a shorter stem on this specific integrated cockpit.

Given that the LCR018 has a fully integrated cable routing system and a specific cockpit setup, would you suggest doing a professional bike fit before ordering the frame and handlebar, or is this geometry standard enough to adjust later? If anyone with a 90+ cm inseam has built this frame, I would love to hear what size and stem length you chose to avoid feeling too stretched out while keeping the front end high enough.

YS3293.  honestly i had googled ferrari red and it looked lighter and flatter than i wanted.  so i asked about a picking a darker, richer red similar to like the mazda miata soul red.  ended up with paint code YS3293.  but after finding this forum and seeing folks' posts of their light carbon ferrari red, it's actually pretty much what i wanted! :-). so i've reached back out to see if it's not too late to just get my bike in ferrari red.

no change in price.
