Mondince new 2026 Aero Gravel

Finished my build. Spcycle G026 size XL light purple. Tagoola XPLR wheels, eGR groupset with magura calipers, leese crankset, e*13 9-44 cassette, toseek cockpit, elita one seatpost
the build went smoothly apart from a few small issues:
- BB threads were a bit rough and I've spent probably 20 minutes trying to install the BB because it felt like cross-threading
- the chainstay is really narrow and there were some loose fibers on the inside so I had to use the internal routing tool with a magnet to pull the wire through.

One thing regarding the downtube storage. It's really small maybe a few mm wider that the door. You don't actually get an access to the entire downtube but the storage area has carbon walls that feel paper thin. Will see how it's going to hold up

Hey I see you got a pretty large size. What is your opinion on lateral stiffness? I got a size L and am not sure if it is too flexy..

Hey Alex, is the flex visible just pressing on the BB while standing still?  If so, possible you can take video?

Honestly I think I may have overreacted. I had a very stiff aluminum bike before so it makes sense this is a little flexier. I just finished a race with it on my trainer and did not rlly notice the stiffness.

A carbon fiber bike is much more comfortable than an aluminum one. Of course, there is a difference in the stiffness of bottombracket. I have one old BH G7 with a flexy bb, i like it. Systemsix is very stiff.  Fun bike, but not so comfortable on bad roads.

I think flexy is good for a gravel bike.

I haven't tried it, but it should work fine. Most gravel suspension forks are around 430 mm (and once you're on the bike, you'll have some initial compression -SAG-), and the FM326 is 420 mm, so geometry will be almost the same with the suspension fork.

That's my plan. I've got the frame and 40mm Rudy's, just waiting for wheels and few other parts before I can test out the result.

Here is an update from my attempt of waterproofing the storage compartment.
I used masking tape to cover the paint and applied a thin layer of transparent sanitary silicone all around the lid and on the upper side of the box, right on the bike.
I assume that the most water would be coming in from there.

My setup dried out for 24 hours now and the layer is thin enough that the box closes without issues. I have also added some silicone around the holes and basically glued the washer in place.
I am aiming for a ride on the weekend and given the weather conditions, a bike wash is guaranteed.
Then I will let you know if that worked or not

Hey, guys! I bought a version of this frame from spcycle and it doesn't provide a bag for storage space. It seems Mondince has such a bag, could someone please show it in a photo (preferably from several angles). I'll try to custom-make a similar one. By the way, how do you like this bag? Maybe there are some thoughts about improving it?
