Hi Jonathan, I'm currently using Schwalbe Pro One tires in 25c. In fact I run all my road bikes in 25c. I feel like everyone was in rush to go with bigger tires, but didn't realize 25c tires in tubeless are actually quite comfortable with less weight and rolling resistance. My Pro One tires inflate closer to 28c with 21mm internal width rims. I can hop off curbs and they handle road buzz as if they were wider tubed tires. December 01, 2025, 09:30:00 AM |

I have ordered r088 on November 29th, it is currently on its way to me. Very excited to receive it. Have ordered a 54 size for 1777 cm length. Now I am riding a 56 frame that feels a bit big for me. they have told me that it has SPcycle loge on it. I hope that works out for you, it sounds reasonable. My 1st modern road bike was a 56cm, but I was always stretched on it, ended up with an 80mm stem and bars angled up. So I've been on a 54cm ever since and the 1st geometry stat I look for is reach. Planning to build my bike with a Ltwoo ER7 groupset and Elite ENT 2.0 wheels. They were all on massive discounts at Black Friday sales. After starting my build my impressions are this is an excellent frame! Nice engineering and very light. But I think I have got my sizing wrong and I’m talking to SPC about a replacement 56cm. The extra 20mm seat tube will help with a similar addition to reach, which I can cope with. Thinking the 58cm is too big with 35mm more reach. I’ll sell on the 54cm rather than send it back 🤔 Initial impressions of the 380/100 bar combo is it’s a lightweight, attractive unit with well thought out spacers and cable routing, but I’m finding the position a bit weird. Can anyone explain to me the difference between ER 9 and ER7 version 3? I do understand that the ERX version is the carbon one.... Current V3 ERX, ER9 and ER7 all have USB type-C charging: - ERX has the carbon levers, carbon RD cage with shadow plus-like hanger and mono block brake calipers first seen on the EGR. - ER9 has the alloy levers, alloy RD cage with shadow plus-like hanger and has the original LTwoo brake calipers (they're non-mono block). - ER7 has alloy levers, alloy RD cage, standard hanger and has the original LTwoo brake calipers. LTwoo also have new flat mount brake calipers coming out (standard post mount on their MTB groupsets), but they've yet to be available at retail. January 08, 2026, 12:45:34 PM |

I am currently building my 54 cm R088 with the ER7 groupset. I did place the battery holder in the seat post and it fits nicely (with a ribbon to pull it out agian) I wonder if they changed the battery cable for the newer ERX/9/7 groupsets? My V1 ER9 battery cable fit perfectly through the mechanical FD hole on my R088. To cover the mechanical FD hole, you could probably source some small rubber grommets, non-permanent glue like rubber cement or just use regular tape.

I installed the derailleur for now without the chain. It shifts, but it stops at the 8th gear and after that it only “clicks.” Install the chain. The chain tension pulls the cage away from the RD body and it'll allow you to properly gauge the b-screw tension and dial in the low and high limit screws. You can also start fine tuning cog distance with the app. Stop asking questions until that chain is installed.

Hi, I have the pleasure of presenting the bike I built for my wife. Of course, the frame is an SPCycle R088 in size 49 with metallic pink paint (number 9) and a mix of glossy and matte finishes. The transmission is based on the SRAM Force XPLR AXS E1, except the crankset, which is the standard SRAM Force AXS E1 road version with a single aero chainring from STONE (42T).
